Nom nom nom! Udi's Review!

If you're Gluten Free, like me, you know it can be tough to find delicious AND convenient food, especially treats! This is where Udi's enters the picture....

I was beyond excited when I received a package from Udi's Gluten Free Foods . I was even MORE excited when I saw that it was filled with COOKIES! Gluten free cookies!! I swear that I heard angels singing....I couldn't wait to dive into them.

I had a hard time choosing which to stuff my face with eat first, so I grabbed a cup of soy milk and went to work on all 3. Oatmeal Raisin, Snickerdoodle, and Chocolate Chip. Oh my.....

I loved the Oatmeal Raisin cookies, they were SO yummy!! But the Chocolate Chip were like a little slice of Heaven in my mouth...seriously SO good! They are the perfect treat for when I need a chocolate fix.

Then there were the Snickerdoodles....the soft, chewy, delicious, sweet Snickerdoodles. Honestly I was shocked at how good they were. I couldn't believe they were Gluten Free!! They are hands down the best GF cookies I have ever had. I'm so happy to have found a company that makes such tasty products. For real!

If you're Gluten Free you definitely need to check out the awesome products that Udi's has to offer. They carry everything from cookies to breads to muffins and pizza crust! Plus you can order right online. BONUS!! Now if you'll excuse me, I have some Snickerdoodle's calling my name!

Godiva Giveaway!! Woot woot!!

 

Where are all of my Godiva lovers at?? Oh, there you are....well listen up because this post is for YOU! Now I'm sure you've all tried their chocolate....mmm....chocolate...., but have you tried their coffee? NO? Well me neither! (Probably because we here at the House of Cline don't drink coffee) But this month Godiva teamed up with Friends You Love to spread a little java love!

 But since I don't drink coffee I shared the java love with my sister in law (and bestie), Atlanta. Poor girl, I had to force her to partake of the Godiva goodness. To shop or not to shop....WWTK Q&A!

To shop or not to shop, that is the question! Well that's the question this week at least, because its time for some Q&A brought to you by the trifecta of awesomeness that is We Want To Know Wednesdays with your favorite peeps Mamarazzi, Crazymama, and Queso! Ladies and gentlemen, without further adieu I present to you, my answers....

1. Do you shop til you drop, or are you in and out as soon as possible?


I think it depends on what store I'm in. Most of the time I like taking my time and perusing the aisles and sales, but there are certain stores you have to drag me into kicking and screaming. I could shop All. Day. Long. Seriously....I could. But take me to Wal-Mart and I'm in and out in 5 minutes flat. That place gives me the willies.



2. Are you a price conscious shopper?


Yup, sure am! Coupon clipper, woot woot! I try and shop sales as much as possible and it has to be really awesome for me to buy something full price. I totally believe in smart shopping, trust me, I have it down to an art! Just ask my hubs...ha! BUT....I LOVE shopping....I also love spoiling my kids....and sometimes items just happen to sneak into the cart that weren't on sale but were too cute to pass up!


3. What store could you spend HOURS in?


Target....sweet sweet glorious Target....I go there at least 3 times a week. No joke.


4. What is the most frivolous purchase you've ever made?


Um...a husband! HA! And for the record, I should have NEVER asked Jordan the answer to this.... apparently I make a lot of frivolous purchases.

5. What was the last thing you bought for yourself?


A gorgeous new purse....I'm in love with it....I just bought it last week and I've used it every single day. And I may or may not coordinate all of my outfits around my beautiful new purse. It's true love.

 I'm daydreaming of shopping as we speak....I can hear Target calling my name! Have a wonderful day Amigos! I can't wait to read your answers!!

Simply Charmed Review and Giveaway!!

Well you guys know that I don't drink wine, but that doesn't mean that I don't want my cup to look ADORABLE when I'm sipping on my ice cold Red Bull! Thanks to Simply Charmed I won't have that problem anymore, because everyone will know which goblet is mine thanks to my super cute glass charms!

Burning rubber....

 Last weekend I got the chance to put my running slippers to good use....13.1 miles of good use!

My feet were on FIRE last weekend as I ran the Rock N River Half Marathon. It was an awesome run with beautiful scenery, perfect weather, good tunes, and one aching foot.

I was a little hesitant to run a half marathon BY MYSELF! Normally I would have a group of my favorite ladies running with me, but they're all LAME busy being knocked up and laden with children...sigh... I suppose I can let them pass this one time...So I bit the proverbial bullet and did it alone!

2 hours and 2 minutes after starting I crossed the finish line and it felt AWESOME!! I was stoked to have clocked in a better time than my last half. And what's even better is that Jordan was standing at the finish line holding a piece of PIE!!!! CHOCOLATE PIE!! Now THAT is a good man. See....doesn't this picture just scream Ahhhhhhhhhhh....

 

It was an amazing experience and the only downfall was running on an injured foot. It had been hurting for the last month and I knew I was pushing it by running but I just HAD to finish what I started. I have to admit, I'm a little bummed I didn't break the 2 hour barrier, but I'm just happy I was able to run at all!

Plus....I got a medal. Makes it all worth it.

1. When was the last time you lost your temper?

HA! About ten minutes ago. My kids were doing Lego bombs in the house...which consisted of them taking handfuls of Legos and CHUCKING them into the air. There are Legos in every nook and cranny of my house. Which of course I HAD TO CLEAN because my kids somehow turn into pumpkins when its time to clean. ARGH!

2. What 3 words best describe you?

Hungry, tired, and ovulating. (you're welcome) Come to think of it....maybe I'm hungry and tired because of my wretched uterus and my evil ovaries. Seriously it feels like someone is stabbing me with an ice pick. I need a snack STAT. Oh...you can probably add the word dramatic to the list.


3. What movie could you watch over and over again and never get tired of?

 Pretty much any Disney movie. Maybe its because my kids watch them ALL of the time, but I could seriously watch Tangled, The Little Mermaid, or The Lion King all day long. Come to think of it, I already do. It's the ciiiiiiiirlce of life!

4. If you could do something dangerous, just once, with no risk, what would you do?

EAT DAIRY! Yeah.....that's right....a friggin block of cheese. AND I wouldn't take my medicine.  Take that ya stupid allergies! Now that is danger. Danger? I laugh in the face of danger. Ha ha ha ha ha! (oy...too much Lion King)

5. Which is more important, intelligence or common sense?

I'm going to have to go with common sense on this one.

It's that time of year again folks...Cold and flu season!! Oh joy. This week Crazymama is asking the questions and she wants to know how you make it through the snottiest season of all. Read on and link up amigos!



1. What is your feel better remedy when you are sick?
2. When illness strikes, what is your policy on staying home from work, school or church with yourself and the family?
3. What do you think is worse? Flu or cold?
4. Flu shots...do you get them? Have you yet?
5. When you are feeling down, what is your usual, go-to therapy? (retail therapy, exercise, comfort food, etc)


1. What is your feel better remedy when you are sick?

Some hot herbal tea, an Arrested Development marathon, and some couch time. Too bad that NEVER happens, normally I get to the tea part and that's about it! But man...it would be nice.


2. When illness strikes, what is your policy on staying home from work, school or church with yourself and the family?

We go on LOCKDOWN! I just think its common courtesy to not spread it around. Plus I want my kids to get all the rest they can, so normally I quarantine them and sentence them to the couch.


3. What do you think is worse? Flu or cold?

Flu. Hands down. I can handle the snot and coughing, but its the fevers and involuntary bodily functions (you know, the hershey squirts and what not) that I can't handle.


4. Flu shots...do you get them? Have you yet?

Nope. I'm not a big fan of the flu shot. We pass on them every year and so far we've been ok! Sure, we get colds occasionally, but its been a long time since I've had a bad flu episode. Fingers and toes crossed for another flu-free season!


5. When you are feeling down, what is your usual, go-to therapy? (retail therapy, exercise, comfort food, etc)

 Ummm. D-all of the above?? Ha!

Tick Tock! WWTK Q&A Time!!

There are just not enough hours in the day! I feel like someone flipped on the GO switch back in 2003 and NEVER turned the friggin thing off. But there's always time for We Want To Know! WOO! So join my boo, Mamarazzi, and I for a little fun Q&A sesh. Read on, answer on, and link up!

1. If you had an extra hour to do ANYTHING for yourself each day, what would you do?

Ohhh....I know exactly what I would do. I'd curl up on my couch with my pups and a BOOK! I love love love to read, but I miss the days of being able to sit and just read. Nowadays I sneak in a few pages here and there, and half the time I'm fighting to keep my eyes open since its normally midnight when I find time to read.  An hour to just read would be HEAVENLY.

2. Are you a morning person or a night owl?

Night owl all the way. I'm up and functioning at the buttcrack of dawn, but I'm super productive in the wee hours of the night. Probably because all of the kids are sleeping!

3. How much sleep do you get on an average night?

About 4 1/2- 5 hours. I have a SUPER hard time sleeping...total insomniac. I've found that I do better on just a few hours of sleep though. And I do try and sneak in a nap with the kids in the afternoons if I'm really tired.

4. When do you find the time to blog/surf the ol' interweb?

 I try and sneak on the computer when the kids eat lunch and sometimes in the afternoon after homework and soccer are done. But mainly its not until night time that I really get the chance to just sit and veg on the computer.

5. What is the ONE thing you're never too busy for?

Snuggling with my littles :)  It doesn't matter what I'm doing, I'll always stop for a little snuggle time with them.

You know you're an over protective parent when...

...you leave your babysitter an instruction manual and pop quiz her

...you bubble wrap your kids before they go outside

Or in my case, you know you're an over protective parent when you check your daughter's POOP for tapeworms. Yes. You read that right. But I swear there's a perfectly valid reason why I would stick my face eye level to a piece of doo-doo butter.

Backtrack to a few weeks ago when we brought home our adorable new puppy, Lola. The kids were so excited...they couldn't stop snuggling her, playing with her, and were loving every minute of being smothered with puppy kisses. Then the unthinkable happened....our sweet little Lola had WORMS. Well, just one teeny itty bitty worm, but that was enough for me! I put her infested bum on lock down until I could get her to the vet. I can't even think about seeing that wretched little worm without dry heaving. Blech.

{So cute....yet so so so gross.}

A little medication and a whole lot of freaking the heck out few days in quarantine and I was ready to release her back into the house again...but I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT!! I know she doesn't have them anymore but I'm TERRIFIED that somehow my kids contracted one. It's crazy, or so I've been told, but I can't help it. I'm a worrier. That's what I do. And let me just tell you that full fledged tapeworm paranoia had taken over.

But as I found myself gazing into my toilet and examining a fresh loaf I realized that maybe....just maybe....its time to pull in the reins and chill a little bit.

Oh, and you'll be happy to know that Little Miss Presley is tapeworm free. I know you were all so worried.

Hey there, my name in the blogsphere is Mamarazzi and I am the author of the blog Dandelion Wishes. My blog started out as your typical mommy blog where I spent all my time bragging about my super cute kid. Jordan is a teenager now and her appearances on the blog are few and far between...because she is a teenager. Anyone have a teenager? Then YOU understand, they are OK with not being the spotlight of mama's blog, and kinda prefer it...I get that!

These days my blog is mainly used for bringing bloggers together. I host a few FABULOUS link parties..."My Happy List" on Tuesdays is all about listing what is making you HAPPY that week, because what you pay attention to grows. "We Want to Know" on Wednesdays is co hosted with the ever so awesome Queso, we are giving you permission to avoid the house work with a Q&A. "Friday Confessional" is your chance to put it all out there and air your confessions, go ahead we won't judge! I also host really fun swaps where you are partnered with another blogger and put together a themed package of good mail for them and get one in return. OH and we are "Taking Back Monday" one Etsy giveaway at a time, Mondays just got a little better y'all and entering is EASY!! I am also the proud mama of the cutest Chiweenie in  the whole wide world...Coco, she is just the little love of my life, sweetest dog ever.

Now that you know a little about ME let me tell you a little about my BEST friends since we ARE talking about Friends You Love afterall...

My very best friend is my husband Big Daddy. There is no one on earth I would rather spend time with than this man. He is my EVERYTHING! He loves me like I have never been loved before, makes me laugh, treats me like his equal partner in life, spoils me and supports me in everything I do. I feel blessed everyday to be married to this wonderful man for all time and eternity.

Then there are my sisters Amy and Meg. Sisters who are are also best friends = AWESOME! We ALWAYS have fun when we are together. I would also consider my mom one of my best friends, I love that we get to spend so much time together now that she is retired (she is also really fun, see how she stuck her face in the booth for one of the photos?). Amy is awesome. Since we are only 2 yrs apart we REALLY grew up together. I can go to her with anything and know she will be there for me. She has 3 fantastic little boys!

I am 11 yrs older than Meg and moved out of the house when she was like 8. Our friendship grew once we were both married adults and I hired her to teach at a preschool I was developing curriculum for. She is raising 3 amazing children AND 5 chickens, she is a super awesome DIY kinda gal and if she sees something she likes she will just make it rather than spend the money on it. She is who I want to be when I grow up, seriously.
