Happy Birthday Humberto!!

In case you don't know who Humberto is, its my loving ALMOST 30 year old husband...Humberto is his pet name. Don't ask...it gets weird ;) You can just call him Jordan if it makes you feel more comfortable.

And today my man is the big 2-9!! He's getting OLD! I'm pretty sure he's Silver Fox status now.

{29 years of shakin' what his mama gave him!}

So hunny bunny, if you're reading this,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

I love you more than Red Bull...that's major.

I hope you have an amazing day!

Now I need to figure out how to wrap myself in a box...hmmm.

Intervention time....WWTK Q&A!

Can I start off with saying mea culpa?! Last Wednesday was pure insanity and I didn't have time to make the rounds and check out your links....but I LOVE YOU! Forgive me?! I'll beg...I'm not above it.

Anyloveyoulongtime, its time for this week's Q&A and Mamarazzi has come up with some fabulous questions....all about one of my favorite things on the face of this planet. CELL PHONES! I loooove my phone...I'd be lost without it. I'm pretty sure I have an addiction to it. I wonder if there is therapy for these kind of things? Read on amigos....

Photobucket

1. Do you prefer to text or call?
2. What is the last text message in your phone and who is it from?
3. What are your favorite phone apps?

4. At what age do you think kids are ready for a cell phone?

5. Share a current pic or video taken with your phone

I may have to sift through some of these pics and texts before I answer....gotta keep things G rated and all..meow! I can't wait to read your answers!

1. Do you prefer to text or call?

Text. All the way. I'm not much of a phone talker, but if you check my texts....we're talking thousands a month. No joke. Mostly between me and my sister-in-law....who lives down the street now! Apparently we have a lot to say to each other. And based on the number of LOLs in them, we think we're pretty funny. Sheesh. I need a new hobby.

2. What is the last text message in your phone and who is it from?

It's from my sister-in-law. Surprise surprise!! And it says: No problem! ;) (Exciting, isn't it?)

3. What are your favorite phone apps?

Ohhh...I love love love HeyTell. It's a voice messaging app that's like a walky talky. So conventient and perfect for sending random messages singing at the top of my lungs!

4. At what age do you think kids are ready for a cell phone?

I would say 12 is a good place to start. But only to have when they are out so that they have a way to stay in contact with us. I wouldn't let them have free reign of the phone though. I would say that they should at least be in high school before they have access to their OWN phone. With all the sexting, videos, and crap that goes on nowadays it makes me nervous to give my kids a potentially dangerous tool. On the other hand, it would make me feel more at ease to know that I could be in contact with them.

5. Share a current pic or video taken with your phone

{Toddlers for sale at Costco!}

The Little Miss was tired of walking so she decided to post up and read a book. Wish I could do that!

A night of passion...

With my man, The Groban....oh, and Jordan was there too. Last Wednesday night we went to the AMAZING Josh Groban concert, and ladies, I have just one word for it. SWOON! I l-o-v-e Josh Groban.....'s music...ahem...I'm a married woman, don't get me wrong. I love his music.

{Reunited and it feels so goooooood!!}

The last time we went and saw him, he held my hand and sang to me...yeah...chew on that for a minute. It was pretty much like heaven on earth. This time around the concert was almost as good ;). His opening act, Elew, was CRAZY awesome! And of course, my man didn't disappoint. His concerts are flawless....and I swear if you listen really closely while he's singing, you can hear chonies dropping across the world. Yup.

{So close...yet so far...}

I even took some granny panties with my phone number written across it. I was gonna launch a thong up there, but I couldn't fit all the numbers on those teeny little strings. Nothing says 'I love your music' like cotton hipster skivvies....rawr....

If you ever get a chance to go see The Groban in concert, DO IT! And invite me! Just don't touch him....I might have to shank you...for real. I will cut you.

Happy Tuesday Amigos!

Let my hormones ask the questions....WWTK Q&A

It is Wednesday already?! You know what that means? I'm going to the JOSH GROBAN concert tonight!! Hot dang! And of course....its time for We Want To Know with my lovebug Mamarazzi and your master of ceremonies for the day, ME!

Photobucket

I've been reading some amazing books lately and they've inspired me, motivated me, moved me and made me smile. After reading The Help I found myself turning inward and asking some deep and honest questions (must be the pms) so I thought I'd share them this week!

1. What is the best advice someone has ever given you?

2. What is your greatest accomplishment?

3. Who do you admire?

4. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

5. How do you want to be remembered?

So grab the chocolate and the tissues and lets ride on this emotional roller coaster together!

1. What is the best advice someone has ever given you?

Don't get up from pooping until you pee the second time. No joke. That advice was actually given to me. Or...stay true to yourself. That's a lesson in life that I've had to learn the hard way. It took me a while to find ME, but now I wouldn't live life any other way.

2. What is your greatest accomplishment?

Hands down, being a mother. And not just a mother, but a good mother. Toot toot. Yup that's my horn. Because you know what? I am a good mother. And it hasn't been easy. Being a mother at 19 wasn't the easiest experience. Every thing about my situation at 19 was difficult, emotionally and physically. Three kids later and all of that pain has disappeared. I'm thankful for the experience and being able to reflect on what was, and what now is. Every day I look at my babies and know that there is nothing I can do in this life that will top them.

3. Who do you admire?

Oh man, well of course my Mom, but I think I've bragged about her too much ;) So for the sake of switching things up I am going to have to say my Mother in law. She. is. awesome. No seriously, she is. She is the epitome of patience. I've never seen her flustered, no matter what chaotic mess is going on. She's raised 7 children of her own and is a FOUNTAIN of knowledge! Plus she is a spiritual powerhouse. Any question I've ever had, she's answered. And trust me, I've had a lot of questions. She exudes love, patience, and warmth and seriously I wish I could be like her! I'm so thankful to have such an amazing example in my life. {this is totally making me the favorite daughter in law ;) }

4. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

My bowels. Dang IBS. But seriously now...let me think. I would change how defensive I can be. I have a hard time letting people in and completely trusting them. Once you're in, you're golden, but my past has toughened parts of my heart that still take time to soften. That's something that I have to work on daily. If I could change it overnight, I would.

5. How do you want to be remembered?

I want people to laugh when they think back on me. I want them to remember the way I snort when I laugh, the way my laugh sounds, and the love I have for them. If the only thing I leave behind are good memories that bring a warm smile to their face, then I've done my job.

Ok, enough of this mushy crap. I'm downing Midol like its going out of style over here. I can't wait to read all of your answers! I'll be thinking of you while I'm being serenaded my the one and only Groban....RAWR!! Happy writing!

Let me just apologize now...

At the beginning of each school year I go through a range of emotion. First off, its tears of JOY at the thought of having 5 minutes of sanity. Then its a little sadness...no wait...there's none of that, its pretty much just joy. Then its a little fear. Yup. FEAR. Because I totally have those kids. Heaven help Mason's teacher...I'm seriously going to have to put her on a prayer roll. Its gonna be a long year....I mean look at this face....

{His little cherub face...so precious...riiiiight}

Totally sweet and innocent, right? BWAAHHAA! Or not. The little shiznizzle...his teacher is going to be a hot mess by the end of the year.

Let's not forget about Boogie! He's still going to his special education program (which he cried at EVERY FRIGGIN DAY last year) but....BUT....he's starting his first mainstream preschool this year! This is HUGE for him. I honestly can't say how he'll do, but we are optimistic and hopeful that it will be a positive experience for him. He had a playdate with his new teacher and friends and for the most part he did great! And so did Presley...who had to be up in the mix and was convinced that she was part of the class. Oy vey that girl has enough attitude to knock Tyra over with her smize.

{Parachutes + Balls= Best time ever!}

{Peek at the bean bag....Little Miss made herself right at home!}

My fingers and toes are crossed that the kids have a good year...and that their teachers survive unscathed. I doubt it. But hey, a girl can hope, right? And if hope doesn't work, I'll pray....or bribe. :)

It's a glorious day! WWTK Week 18 folks!

First off....can I get an AMEN?! The kids go back to school today and I may or may not be crying tears of joy over here!

But right now its time to get down to business...We Want To Know style! This week's questions are brought to you by the lovely Mamarazzi. So take a walk down memory lane and join in the fun today!

Photobucket

Here are this week's questions:

1. Did you live in the same town or move around a lot as a child?

2. What were your parents like?

3. Do you have any siblings? What were they like growing up?

4. Share a short story from your childhood.

5. What did you look like? (share a picture for your chance to win a prize)

I LOVE these questions!! Read on and link up amigos!

1. Did you live in the same town or move around a lot as a child?

We moved...A LOT! My parents were active duty military and we seriously never lived anywhere longer than a year. I loved it though! I lived in amazing places like Spain and Panama and was able to travel the world at a young age. Plus it helped me become adaptable to new surroundings and totally NOT SHY! ha!

2. What were your parents like?

My parents divorced when I was really young, so its hard for me to remember them together, but as long as I can remember, my Mom has always been loving and protective. She was always playing with us, not just watching. She was the kind of mom who had a snack waiting when we got home and couldn't wait to hear all about out day. She was involved in every aspect of our lives and always did whatever she had to do to protect us and provide us with the best life she could. She is the woman I strive to be. She's been my example every day of my life.

3. Do you have any siblings? What were they like growing up?

Oh heck yes I do. Steps, halves, wholes...you name them, I've got them! There are 6 of us total and we have been a crazy brood since day 1. I'm talking duct taping each other to trees, tying each other to vacuums, popping water beds, and much much more. Seriously I can't even begin to explain the insanity we've caused....and STILL cause!!

4. Share a short story from your childhood.

Crap. I'm not good at 'short'. But one time we were on a road trip with my Dad and the rest of the brood. I couldn't have been more than 8 years old, and I accidentally popped a ranch packet ALL OVER my Dad's killer black jeans and matching jean jacket in the middle of a McDonalds! He was SO ticked that his fashionable ensemble was ruined...I mean he looked like a bad splatter paint shirt! Remember those?! And the madder he got, the louder my brothers and sister laughed. I, on the other hand, was terrified for my life. I'm pretty sure my Dad is STILL mad about that.

5. What did you look like? (share a picture for your chance to win a prize)

{Little Queso circa 1985...holy grumpy pants batman}

So much attitude for such a little thing! Some things never change....

Happy Wednesday Amigos!

Fire and Desire...rawr!!

It's the small things that Jordan does that lets me know how much he loves me. Like making me smoothies because he knows I'm running late, or making dinner because he knows I've had a crazy day...or....OR...he leaves me sweet little love notes like this...

{He's so romantic...*swoon*}

The man yields his dry erase marker like a sword...
fighting for our love.

Hand off ladies. This one's all mine.

Happy Friday Amigos!!

Have a fabulous weekend!

We Want To Know Q&A Week 17 +++

Holy crapballs, how is it Wednesday already?? This week is flying by! But you know what that means....It's game time friends! So join me and my fabulous co-host, Mamarazzi, and play along. This week the questions are brought to you by yours truly! No pressure. I'll only cry myself to sleep if you don't play. *sigh* So go on and link up....all the cool kids are doing it.

Photobucket

1. If you could be on any game show what would it be?

2. If you could stay any certain age forever, what would it be?

3. What were you doing 30 minutes ago?

4. What would I find in your fridge right now?

5. If you were a piece of furniture what would you be? Why?

Let's get the party started! Read on my friends...read on.

1. If you could be on any game show what would it be?

WHEEL OF FORTUNE!!!
Hands down. I'm so good at that show, its scary. I'm so humble about it too. In fact, I've applied 4 TIMES....no joke. Still waiting for the phone call....Pat Sajak, I'm talking to YOU! Let's make that big money happen baby!

2. If you could stay any certain age forever, what would it be?

28, the age that I am now. Only because I can't imagine not having my kids or seeing them exactly the way they are. Plus I'm legal enough to do all the fun stuff, but still young enough that I'm looking GOOD. Not that I'm vain or anything, because I totally am I'm totally not.

3. What were you doing 30 minutes ago?

30 minutes ago I was watching a bulldog ride a rocking horse.....it was friggin AMAZING. Thank you America's Got Talent for proving to me that my dogs are good at being cushion smushers and that's about it! And I'm not talking about the kind of smushing that happens on Jersey Shore. Blech.

4. What would I find in your fridge right now?

A case of Red Bull, of course. Bacon...its a staple in this family. Tons of cheese, that I can't eat. And tons of fruits and veggies! For the guinea pig, not the kids. That's just crazy.

5. If you were a piece of furniture what would you be? Why?

Well, you can cross off the toilet for sure. Initially I thought I'd want to be the phone, because I'm nosy and I'd be able to hear everything! Juicy! But you know what? I'd rather be my kids night-nights....their ratty baby blankets that they snuggle when they're sleepy, cuddle when their sad, and sleep with every night. I'd love to be that source of comfort. Crap...I just realized that a blanket really isn't furniture. So yeah, I'd be the phone!

I'm Baaaaccckkkkk

I'd try and explain the insane amount of awesomeness that occurred at Blogher in San Diego this last weekend...but I can't just do it justice. In fact, I'm still recovering. It was that crazy! But I'll tell you one thing...I am most definitely saving up my pennies so that I can go again next year. NYC here I come! Hopefully....maybe....if I can buy the ticket without Jordan noticing sweet talk Jordan into it.

The people were AMAZING, the food was grub (they had gluten free/allergy friendly food!), the parties were a dang good time and holy swag.... free crap galore. We bloggers know how to do the dang thing!

{Snuggling with Gordy-poo at the Cheap Sally Party...}

{Me & Steph! Reunited and it feels so gooooood! LOVE HER!}

{My roomie and bloggy bestie, Kristin, hooking up with Mr. Reynolds...RAWR!}

{A battling unicorns CAKE! Yes! CAKE PEOPLE! FRIGGIN AWESOME!}

{Hanging with my Momo aka SurferWife...be still my heart...}

{Who doesn't love a good nipple tweaking? Harrison Ford does!}

{Don't mind the crazy face...Erin was trying to get me even crazier with some help from our friend, Caffeine. }

{Love love love Amanda! She's the cutest thing EVER! And yes. I did wear my pajamas to a party. Don't judge.}

These pictures were just the tip of the iceberg! I seriously almost piddled myself laughing while I was looking through the rest of them. Lets just say 'not family blog friendly'....but PERFECT for future blackmail!! Watch out amigos....you know who you are ;) **cough cough** kristin, monique, randy, meaghan **cough cough**

Have an awesome day my dears, and make sure you come by tomorrow and link up for We Want To Know Wednesdays!

PEACE.

We Want To Know Wednesday Q&A Week 16+++

It's that time of week again amigos! So saddle up and get to gettin'! Join Mamarazzi and I for another exhilarating round of We Want To Know Wednesday. This weeks questions are brought to you by the lovely Mamarazzi.

Photobucket

{1} If you could spend a day with a blogger, who you haven't met in real life, who would you choose?
{2} What website do you check first when you go online?
{3} What is something you are saving money for right now?
{4} What is your go to silly face when a silly face is needed? You know the face, that one you pull out when goofin' for the camera. (post a pic of it and be entered to win a prize from Mamarazzi)
{5} How do you relieve stress?

Grab a snack, relax, and enjoy the answers!

{1} If you could spend a day with a blogger, who you haven't met in real life, who would you choose?

Oh man, there are so many to choose from!! But lucky me, I'm leaving for Blogher tomorrow and I'll FINALLY get to meet some of my favorite bloggers and best bloggy buddies like Kristin, Monique aka SurferWife, and Blueviolet! Jealous?? You should be. Those ladies rock and I can't wait to give them a big ol' hug and party with them into the wee hours. Oh, and take pictures of them wasted and plaster them all over my blog. Because that's what friends are for. HUZZAH!

{2} What website do you check first when you go online?

Crap. This is the part where my inner nerd starts to come out. Every morning the first place I look is online at the Luann comic strip. (Insert you laughing at me here). I can't help it, I'm addicted. I've been reading it for YEARS! And after I've caught up on Luann, I get caught up on the daily world news....aka celebrity gossip. Ha!

{3} What is something you are saving money for right now?
Well I have been saving money for Blogher...does that count? I can't wait to go hit up the shops and the town with all the fabulous ladies that are sure to be there! This money is burning a hole in my pocket as we speak.

{4} What is your go to silly face when a silly face is needed? You know the face, that one you pull out when goofin' for the camera. (post a pic of it and be entered to win a prize from Mamarazzi and Queso)

It normally goes a little something like this...

{Holy unflattering Batman. See the things I do for you guys!}

{5} How do you relieve stress?

I've found that the best stress reliever is either beating the crap out of a truck with a bat (I may or may not speak from experience) or throwing a phone against the wall and shattering it to pieces. (once again, I may or may not speak from experience) But since The Hubs isn't too fond of those methods I normally go for a nice long workout and leave my stress at the gym. Works like a charm every time!

There ya have it folks. Now skedaddle and answer them so you can link up on the fun!
