Let me just apologize now...

At the beginning of each school year I go through a range of emotion. First off, its tears of JOY at the thought of having 5 minutes of sanity. Then its a little sadness...no wait...there's none of that, its pretty much just joy. Then its a little fear. Yup. FEAR. Because I totally have those kids. Heaven help Mason's teacher...I'm seriously going to have to put her on a prayer roll. Its gonna be a long year....I mean look at this face....

{His little cherub face...so precious...riiiiight}

Totally sweet and innocent, right? BWAAHHAA! Or not. The little shiznizzle...his teacher is going to be a hot mess by the end of the year.

Let's not forget about Boogie! He's still going to his special education program (which he cried at EVERY FRIGGIN DAY last year) but....BUT....he's starting his first mainstream preschool this year! This is HUGE for him. I honestly can't say how he'll do, but we are optimistic and hopeful that it will be a positive experience for him. He had a playdate with his new teacher and friends and for the most part he did great! And so did Presley...who had to be up in the mix and was convinced that she was part of the class. Oy vey that girl has enough attitude to knock Tyra over with her smize.

{Parachutes + Balls= Best time ever!}

{Peek at the bean bag....Little Miss made herself right at home!}

My fingers and toes are crossed that the kids have a good year...and that their teachers survive unscathed. I doubt it. But hey, a girl can hope, right? And if hope doesn't work, I'll pray....or bribe. :)

  1. I totally remember playing with the parachutes in elementary school! I love that you worked smize in there too.

  3. Bribery always works! I think you'll have to find a preschool for Little Miss too!

  4. I'm optimistic for you! I hope Boogie's year is amazing and that Mason can keep it to a low roar! Hahaha! Is Presley gonna be able to handle having you all to herself?

  5. I hope they had a great start to the school year! I hear ya about praying for the teachers; my oldest can talk the ears off an elephant! It's usually about the second week of school that I'm getting a call to have a conference about listening and not talking out of turn. I expect to be getting that call any minute! :)

  7. Logan's 1st day of preschool is today and I absolutely understand the anxiety of having one of "those kids". I've been a nervous wreck all day. Am I going to find a note in his backpack tonight telling me what a holy terror he was all day? Is he going to poop on the floor because someone else is in the bathroom and he has to go RIGHT NOW? Aaaahhhh!!! There is so much potential for disaster! He could be a total nightmare or a complete angel, it depends entirely on his mood and you just don't know what you're going to get from day to day. Please tell me that my anxiety will subside, he won't get kicked out of school, and the teacher will survive. She will? Right?

  9. I just started my semester up again and so far, it looks like Presley and I are doing about the same stuff.

    I mean, we don't have the parachute on the regular, but I'm pretty sure if I suggested it, I could get it on the syllabus.
