You're a grand ol' flag....

You're a high flying flag, and forever in peace may you waaaaave! You're the emblem of the land I love! The home of the free and the braaaaaave!

Do you guys remember singing that?? Holy second grade batman. I need a baton, sequins, and my jazz hands....I'm about to bust out my patriotic moves for you!

Being raised in a military family, and having family members still actively serving, I have a very special place in my heart for all of those who serve our country on our behalf. So as we have our BBQ's and enjoy our Memorial Day on Monday, lets keep them in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers!

To all the parents who have lost children, to the spouses who have lost their other halves, to the children who have lost their Mommy or Daddy....we remember them...and we thank them...and this weekend, we honor them!

Out with the old, in with the new...

Man, I'm really going to miss seeing this....

But I'm really excited about this...

*tear* It was an emotional weekend over at the House of Cline. As we hauled out the baby crib and moved in the big girl bed, reality hit me like a ton of bricks. My baby days are over..*tear*... My baby is all grown up!! *SOB!* My uterus is so depressed. Ok, so maybe I'm being a little over dramatic. But still, it was rough. My little anklebiters are growing so fast and I didn't like the reminder!! But I did like the room make over...take a peek! (sorry for the crappy pics, it was dark and my camera is poo-dung)

The colors turned out funky in these pics. The curtains are actually a softer green and the wall isn't so dark...dang lighting!! You'll just have to take my word for it that it looks amazing! Poor Jordan worked like a dog all weekend putting together beds and dollhouses and dealing with all of my crazy ideas....and as much as I'd like to say he did it for me, I think he really did it for her...

Daddy's girl

Either way, the ladies of the house are happy...so its a win-win in my book.

Beaver, beaver, beaver

Somehow...someway... I survived the field trip. Don't get me wrong, those little hooligans tried to break my spirit, but it didn't work. They were crazy if they thought a little motion sickness was gonna hold me down. I'm straight gangster...Note to self: never sit in the back of a crammed bus going down a windy road again. The kids had a blast at the Nature Center and I...well...I survived and have the pictures to prove it!!

{Leader of the brat pack...}

{The kids snuggling fur pelts....PETA would love this!!}

{Talk about a bear hug...get it?!...bear!!...yeah.}

{Our fearless leader foraging into the poison oak forest...that crap was EVERY WHERE}

{Knock knock...Whooooo's there?......HA!}

{Read the name tag fools...it's Mrs. Cline to you.}

The highlight of the trip, however, doesn't need a picture! It was while the kids were snuggling the fur pelts and a certain little boy...ahem...who shall not be named...held up a beaver fur pelt and loudly yelled "I LOVE .... (...well you fill in the blank, this is a family blog after all)"

PRICELESS! Made the entire field trip totally worth it.

Happy Monday!!

The time has come...

Today's the big day friends... We're loading up the bus and heading out because it's field trip day! That's right, it's the end of the year field trip for Mason's first grade class and things are about to get a whole lot crazier, because guess who gets to go? Mmmhhhmm. You know it. I got the golden ticket fools!

Only 2 parents get the coveted seats on the bus with the screaming herd of rabid hooligans, and yours truly is one of them. Apparently I pissed someone off. I know. Lucky me, right? I get to be a chaperone. You know what that means, don't you? Someone actually TRUSTS me to watch these little whippersnappers. They must have read my blog and realized that I'm the Mother of the Year. 2010 Represent! Note to self: pack extra Red Bull, zip ties, and duct tape.

{He's saving a seat on the bus for one lucky lady}

Have an awesome weekend folks...
Wish me luck!

A friend in need...

My heart hurts tonight friends. My dear friend Daffy, from Batcrap Crazy, has been struck with a family crisis. If you could spare a prayer or kind thought for Daffy's sister, please do. I'm saddened to say that her sister has been declared clinically brain dead and the outlook is not so good. My heart hurts tonight as Daffy and her family mourn the loss of a daughter, sister, wife, and mother. Please keep her in your hearts. We love you Daffy.

It's game time!

It's no secret that I'm allergic to pretty much everything, but that doesn't stop me from chowing down on some major offenders every once in a while. But before I take the first bite and risk getting major mudbutt, horrendous gas, crazy bloating, itchy rashes my health I have to ask myself is 'Is it worth it?'...

So come on down folks, it's time to play a little game I like to call

Is is worth the rash??

Items are based on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being a HECK YES! Shall we begin?

churros.....
....4....

Sweet sugary goodness on a stick, you're scrumptious....but not THAT scrumptious.

cheese....

....10.....

Delicious...amazing...smelly arse cheese. I love you baby. I miss you. Seriously, if it smells like a hoof, I'll probably love it. It's been a looooong time since I've had a rendezvous with this dairy delicacy....mama's coming for you.

sushi...
....7....

This folks is perhaps the WORST offender of them all. But it's like a drug...I just crave it. But I've learned the trick...TAKE OUT! Yup...eaten from the comforts of my own home, and within a close vicinity of the toilet.

spaghetti....
...5...

I can't make up my mind on this one. I'm so torn!

bread...
...9...

Biscuits! Toast! Sandwiches! Bagels! WAFFLES!! I MISS BREAD!!!!!! I'll bloat like Lindsay Lohan after a weekend bender, I don't even care!!! It's been too long!

enchiladas....
....6...

I have to admit...this much cheese scares me, and my bowels!! But just imagine how delicious it would be.... nom nom nom

Thanks for playing folks! Looks like I have a hot date with a wheel of cheese and a fresh baguette. I better put on my stretchy pants for maximum bloat comfort.

Hot Doggers

Every parent has that ONE thing they swear their children will never do. For example, I have one friend who vows NEVER to put anything Winnie The Pooh on her little one. While another friend swears her children will never eat McDonald's. Well for me it was Crocs. I swore, up and down, left and right, that my children would NEVER wear those rubbery foam contraptions on their precious tootsies. Those "shoes" were foul and banned from the House of Cline....until last week.

You see, Boogie's sensory integration disorder makes certain things in his daily life a challenge. Our latest challenge had been shoes. I had taken him to countless stores, tried on numerous styles, bought and returned umpteen pairs of shoes...and had struck out every time. His canvas shoes were hanging by a thread, literally, but they were the only shoes I could get him to wear. Until one day last week at Mason's swim class. Yeah, the class Boogie backed out of because of water issues. Gotta love this kid. While Mason was busy peeing in the pool, Boogie found Mason's fauxcrocs (why Mason had them is still a mystery to me) and started tromping around in them. I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EYES! The kid had on SHOES!

I had tried for a MONTH to get shoes on this kid and he wanted fugly foam clogs?! Oy. But I had reached my wits end...he'd taken the fight out of this dog...so on the way home I ran into the CVS pharmacy where I found a knockoff pair...Doggers. Really?? What the freak is a Dogger?? Who the heck came up with that name?! Anydogger, Boogie loved them. It was a match made in shoe heaven. He even slept with them that night. Truth. I'd be appalled if it wasn't so dang cute.

{They're like my own personal kryptonite}

It was my worst nightmare come true...my kids loved DOGGERS...*tear* and to make it worse, the Little Miss kept on stealing Boogie's shoes because now SHE wanted them. Do you hear that? It's my heart BREAKING! I thought I had taught her better than that. Apparently she inherited Jordan's fashion gene. WAHH!!

So being the AMAZING mother that I am, I went to 6, that's right, count 'em folks...6 CVS stores today looking for a pair of friggin Doggers in her size!! UGH! Not only did I find her size, but I bought enough pairs to keep my kids in Doggers for the next 3 years in case they decide to go on shoe strike again. I give up. I didn't just lose the battle, I lost the friggin WAR!

{In all of their Dogger glory....boo.}

I'm sad to say that all my kids now have their beloved Doggers complete with jizzlets, or giblets, or jibbitz. Whatever the heck they're called. But on the bright side, I have 3 happy anklebiters that think their mom is pretty much the raddest mom ever. And I can't argue that...

Summer lovin...

Last year I was pretty much dreading Summer. I mean, I had experienced the wonder that is free daycare public school, and I was totally loving my down time during the day. I didn't know what the heck I was supposed to do with 3 kids home all day. Raise them? I was terrified!!

Right now, I'm actually excited for Summer. This could be the delirium setting in because it's 2 in the morning and I can't friggin SLEEP! But the thought of a Cali Summer full of late nights, lake trips, watermelon, road trips, slip-n-slides, and flip flops sounds pretty dang good!

I'm ready for it. I've stocked up on otter pops and sunscreen, and I've got enough beach toys to supply the whole neighborhood. Let the Summer games begin freaks!

Here's what I'm most looking forward to....

1. I don't have to be up at the buttcrack of dawn shoving cereal down The Dude's mouth and dropping him off at school in my house robe and bed head.

2. I can pelt the kids with water balloons as hard as I want and they think its FUN! SUCKERS! Talk about a stress reliever.

3. I can toss some bubbles in the kiddie pool and count it as a bath....right? two birds, one stone.

4. We bbq all Summer long which mean The Hubs cooks since I can't even start the grill! And I don't plan on learning how any time soon! Score.

5. The kids wear just bathing suits ALL summer long which means way less laundry for me.

6. Popsicles are totally an acceptable meal.

{Nom nom nom...}

See? Sounds pretty friggin glorious to me. I guess there is a flip side to it...like the fact that it gets insanely hot and I get swoob (sweaty boob). Or the fact that I actually have to shave. Boooo. But all in all I've got high hopes for Summer 2010...20 days til the school doors close...let the insanity begin!!

Happy Friday Folks!!

Swimming is over rated...

Well, its over rated according to Boogie. Last week the boys started swim lessons. I couldn't wait to get them in the water! It's another one of those parenting milestones that I couldn't wait to check off the list. We'd already done a school play, we'd already lost a first tooth, and we'd already had our first fist fight....it was time to throw on some frigging floaties and get down to business!!

Mason couldn't wait to get into the water. He was so excited I thought he was going to pee himself. And he did, in the pool...he told his entire class. As for Boogie...well...he's not so much a fish in the water as he is a CAT in the water. This is how he spent his ONE and ONLY swim class....

Like a terrified kitty up in a tree. It broke my heart that he was so scared, but at the same time I couldn't help but laugh at this picture. He was NOT going in that water and there was no talking him into it. Trust me, I tried. I sweet talked, I bribed, I threatened, I begged. Nothing. Zip. Nada.

So with one class under his belt Boogie has officially 'thrown in the towel'. HA!! Get it?! The towel?! Swim...yeah..anyway. But, at least I get to check it off my list. And Mason still gets to pee in the pool, so it's pretty much a win-win.

pee ess- don't forget to enter the giveaway!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

They are my world...my meaning...my happiness...my love...my inspiration...my heart...my pride..my everything.

I can't think of a better way to spend the day than hugging them tight, hearing their laughs, and seeing them smile. That's the best gift I could ask for on this Mother's Day....

I'm not sure what I did to deserve such an amazing family with children so incredibly perfect and a husband so absolutely amazing, but I'm so thankful my Heavenly Father found me deserving and blessed me with such a gift.

I hope you all have a wonderful day celebrating the women in your lives!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Fiesta Time Amigos!!

This weekend was LOOOONG, but man was it fun! Saturday we hosted a baby shower AND an early Cinco De Mayo fiesta...it was pure chaos at the Casa de Cline, but holy carne asada batman, we had ourselves a good time. Good food, good friends, and ice cold Jarritos makes for one heck of a fiesta! And of course my camera died an hour into the festivities, but I managed to scramble together a few photos...

{The dude running the poncho like its nobody's business}

{Drinky drinky...non alcoholic for this gal}

{Sending out the vibe....}

{Cinco De Mayo 2010...Ole.}

Cinco De Mayo 2010 was a major success at the Casa de Cline. The Little Miss is the only one who missed out because she SLEPT through the ENTIRE party! That's right. But she woke up at 3 AM bright eyed and busy tailed ready for the day...joy. As far as Sunday goes, well...lets just say that eating 4 churros wasn't the best idea, but man, did they taste good.

Hope you all had a great weekend!
