Happy Mother's Day!!!

They are my world...my meaning...my happiness...my love...my inspiration...my heart...my pride..my everything.

I can't think of a better way to spend the day than hugging them tight, hearing their laughs, and seeing them smile. That's the best gift I could ask for on this Mother's Day....

I'm not sure what I did to deserve such an amazing family with children so incredibly perfect and a husband so absolutely amazing, but I'm so thankful my Heavenly Father found me deserving and blessed me with such a gift.

I hope you all have a wonderful day celebrating the women in your lives!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

To my beloved offspring...

Dear Children of the Corn Cline household,

I would appreciate it if you would stop plotting against me and start working WITH me! I don't think if was really necessary for the 3 of you to get sick at the same time...it was kind of overkill really. But if you insist on being sick then at least have a little courtesy. If you guys sneeze in my face, cough on my food, or wipe your snot on my shirt one more time I'm gonna drop kick you like a football, got it? And Mason, don't think that because you get to stay home from school that I'm gonna baby you and snuggle with you on the couch, because that's totally what I'm going to do I have things to do...important things, like blogging laundry. Yeah. Priorities people.

And I am so not down with you guys waking up at 15 minute intervals ALL NIGHT LONG. Seriously, so not cool. You know how to pour milk, is it really necessary to wake me up to do it? And Mason, you're 5 years old...you should be able to feed your sister a bottle by now. Honestly, I didn't raise a bunch of bums. So if you don't want Mommy to spike your milk with benadryl be grumpy in the morning then GO TO FRIGGIN SLEEP and swallow your spit instead, milk is overrated! Or better yet...wake up Daddy.

Since I have your attention, lets talk about the legos. It was a tad bit alarming when I was changing Presley's diaper and saw a yellow lego head smiling back up at me through the doo doo butter. So if you could stop leaving pieces ALL over the flippin house for your sister to eat and smuggle into her diaper I would really appreciate it! And Presley, I FEED you for a reason child! Lay off the legos!

And Boogie, don't think that you got off the hook mister. I just want you to know that I'm boycotting Thomas the Engine. D-O-N-E. DONE!! If I have to be subjected to one more Thomas dvd I think I'm going to lose it. Screw Sir Topham Hat. Forget Percy and Gordon. I'M DONE! Can't you watch something different...like Real Housewives of Atlanta or Talk Soup?? Something wholesome that we can all watch together? Just think about it.

One last thing before I go...it's been a looooong time since I've been able to poop in peace. Does there really need to be a pow wow in the loo every time Mommy has to do some dirty work? All I need is 5 minutes. I'd even settle for 3.

Love,
Mom

peee ess--- life's been a little crazy, sick kids and no sleep...but i'm trying to keep up on your blogs! so if i haven't stopped by in a few days don't worry, i will! thanks to all those who left awards and kind thoughts...i'm gonna go grab a power nap before the little mongrels wake up.

Milestones suck...

It seems as if I'm always waiting for my kids to learn something new. To hit the next age benchmark per se. I remember reading What To Expect The First Year and having anxiety attacks because Mason couldn't clap at 6 months. What was wrong with him? Did he have medical issues that I didn't know about? Was I a failure as a mother?! And wasn't he supposed to be crawling by now?!! I called the doctor on the verge of hysteria, all snot faced and sobbing into the phone "MY SON DOESN'T CLAP! bwwwaahhhh!". Motherhood makes you do some stupid crazy things.

I over-analyzed EVERYTHING the first time around. The second time around I was a little less neurotic. Ok , who am I kidding, no I wasn't. At all. And Jordan if you say anything I will cut you!! Be afraid fool! The crazy runs deep in my blood I can't get rid of it. And the third time around....well, let's just say I'm not encouraging milestones at all.

I encouraged Mason to walk at such a young age and the kid went from a crawl to a RUN! And he's never stopped. He just slows down slightly when mommy remembers to crush the ritalin over his frosted frakes for breakfast. And Boogie has had such a struggle learning to talk and now that he's started, the kid never shuts his flippin pie hole and drives me straight crazy. Thank goodness they are so cute, and quiet, when they sleep.

And last but not least, Presley. You see, this is my baby and I'm really not excited for her grow up. She's clapping now. She waves hi and bye. Sigh....And now she's crawling. Is it bad that I pull her legs out from under her when she crawls?? I really don't encourage it. She's growing up way too fast. Maybe I should strap a weight to her back, that should slow her down! And I refuse to let her hold her own bottle. She NEEDS me dang it!

Milestones. Shmilestones. Pooh on them. Can't I just keep her my baby just a little bit longer? On the bright side...I can't wait to hear her say Mommy. I can't wait to take her to get mani pedis with me. I can't wait for her to wipe her own butt. Ok, so maybe there are a few milestones I can live with...Ha...come to think of it, it's gonna be Jordan that has issues with this little beauty growing up. I mean, come on, just look at this face...

Home Sweet Home

I'm baaaack! So we just spent the last 4 days at the sweet little town of Incline Village in Lake Tahoe and I'm relieved to say that it was a success! We had a 4 day family reunion that consisted of 40 people....20 of which were kids 12 and under. Yikes. It was intense....but, it was also a buttload of fun! (I just wanted to say buttload) We stayed in an awesome cabin and the kids had a blast hanging out and doing whatever they wanted the entire weekend. I didn't see my kids eat anything other than Mother's circus cookies...you know what I'm talking about...the amazing pink and white ones, but hey, whatever keeps them quiet...I mean makes them happy! Despite the lack of sleep, constant screaming, constipated children (btw, Presley totally pooped on Jordan tonight!! HA!), and lack of chocolate in the house we managed to make some awesome memories....here, take a gander...

Of course my boys find the heavy duty machinery....

Hot tub time! Can you imagine the amount of urine in this thing?! Because I can!

Yeah it won't rotate. Lame. But this is Boogie's new trick! NO HANDS! Coke is nutritious right?

See the one in the front tossing gang signs? Yeah, that's our....figures.

I asked for chocolate. The husband buys this. All I could think of was deer poop. I couldn't eat it. What a waste.

I couldn't get the dang picture to rotate!! But dang baby you look goooood! Booya!

My boys on the ferris wheel at Scheel's.
Dude my butt looks huge in this picture!

Little Miss Presley lookin' tough for the camera. Grrr!

How cute is this?! And look, she loves it!
I don't know why, but I think this video is so funny. Presley loves to rock herself to sleep and I've never seen another baby do this. Check it out if you have time...this girl is just too stinkin' cute!

That can't be right....

There's no way she's 6 months already!! I just had her. Just look at my gut. I have proof!

Alas, it's true. My baby is 6 months old and I'm really struggling with the fact that my kids are growing up. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy most of it, but the older they get the older I get, and that part I don't enjoy. But I have to tell you that the day that all 3 kids can wipe their own butts, without making it look like the poop fairy waved her wand over the entire bathroom, is a day I truly look forward too.

Today in particular has been a milestone day. My baby's officially 6 months. My kindergartner has one more day before he's a FIRST GRADER. And my 2 year old had his first time out today. Why don't I tell you why....

So being the fantastic mother that I am, I decided it would be a great idea to go volunteer at the kindergarten water play day. So I bust out the double stroller, pack up the younger two, and trekked to the playground. I even showered before noon! This was a big day for us. So as soon as my foot hit the playground asphalt I hear it. The bloodcurdling scream of a ticked off two year old. Sigh. Really? We just got here, I think to myself. I tried to ask him what was wrong, so I could FIX it, but Levi doesn't talk. Seriously, my child doesn't talk. He's in speech therapy, but during moments like this the only vocalization I get is ear piercing screams. I decide we should wait it out and see if his mood improves. Weird thing happened, it actually got worse, who would have thought? So for the next half hour I attempted to help out while the snot monster followed behind me oozing mucous from every pore and shrieking like a wild banshee, wiping it on every available surface, mainly my clothes. Ugh. That was it. I couldn't do it anymore. I threw the snot covered turd over my shoulder, grabbed the stroller, and marched out with my head held high, while the playground moms watched and did the mental 'tsk-tsk'. But they all saw the crazed look in my eye....no one dared say anything. I'm hardcore like that. I got the screaming pile of boogers home and plopped him in his bed. "TIME OUT" I declared in my best 'I mean business buster' voice and I shut the door and waited....and waited...and waited. Why wasn't he opening the door, crying for mommy, objecting in any way??? Instead he sat on his bed and quietly read a book for 10 min without a peep! Whatthe?? I just don't get this kid. I still have no clue what he was even crying about!

But whatever, he's happy now, and now I know that he can sit in a time out. Winner winner chicken dinner! Booya! On a happier note...here's a picture of six month old Presley...those boys don't stand a chance! And yes...daddy has lots of guns.

Just so blessed...

bless⋅ing:
1. the act or words of a person who blesses.
2. a special favor, mercy, or benefit: the blessings of liberty.
3. a favor or gift bestowed by God, thereby bringing happiness.
4. the invoking of God's favor upon a person: The son was denied his father's blessing.
5. praise; devotion; worship, esp. grace said before a meal: The children took turns reciting the blessing.

Lately I have just been f eeling so immensely blessed. 6 years ago I never would have pictured myself as mother of 3 and wife of 1. It was never in my plan. How humbling it is to see Heavenly Father's plan for me. Sometimes it all seems so surreal. Sometimes I almost forget I am a mother, then I hear them laugh in the next room, or they come and ask me for help and look at me with those curious eyes. It's times like those that I realize what a blessing it is to have them and to be trusted with such tender spirits. Teaching them has been the biggest learning experience for me. I love the quote "While we are trying to teach our children about life, our children teach us what life is all about."

That's just so true. It's amazing how much you learn about yourself when you're trying to teach another. I guess I'm just sentimental with Mother's Day around the bend. It's been a crazy journey the last five years. I've learned how to be the mama bear and protect my cubs. I've learned how to assemble a train track in 2 minutes flat. I've learned not to take their sloppy drool kisses for granted. I really have learned so much and I'm so grateful, and am truly truly blessed. I hope my children know how much I love them, I'd be lost without them. It gives me so much joy to see them grow, but it's hard to see their childhood slowly drifting by. I don't think I'll ever be ready for them to grow up. "Childhood is the most beautiful of all seasons." To all the Mother's who come across this, Happy Mother's Day!

Sundaes on Thursday....

I love days like today! To truly enjoy every part of my day from waking to bed time can be a rare commodity at times....but today was simply and ordinarily perfect. Nothing grand happened, just life at it's fullest. Getting spit up on, changing explosive diapers, playing outside for hours, chauffeuring to and fro, getting sticky kisses from my munchkins, yummy Thai food for dinner(which I ate way too much of, I'm feeling like I'm gonna heave...blah), ice cream sundaes with Daddy...this is why I love my life. Man I really hope tomorrow isn't lame!! Today reminded me of the book For One More Day by Mitch Albom....it was just that good. I wish I could think of a cool song to be my theme song of the day! I have a secret...I know what made today so good. The first thing I did today was put on my pink headband with the big cute bow. I wore it ALL day...I think it made all the difference. I'm gonna wear it again tomorrow, just in case.

It's pictures like these that capture the love felt within our home. It's also proof that at one point in time they all actually liked each other!

Daily dose of cuteness...

I'm completely obsessed with my baby girl. I just want to snuggle her all day!
