Here are this week's questions:
1. How was your Valentine's Day?
2. What is your favorite flower? Did your honey get them for you?
3. Was Valentine's Day a big deal for you when you were a kid?
4. Did you put up any Valentine's Day decorations? (bonus points for a pic!)
5. Do you have any Valentine's Day traditions?
Let's get the ball rollin'!
1. How was your Valentine's Day?
I suppose "mellow" would be a good word for it. I spent my time going back and forth between the kid's class parties and just hanging with my littles all day. Hubs had to work super late (I was asleep before he even got home!), so I just enjoyed the day soaking up some love and snuggles from the kids. We delivered Valentine's, made a yummy dinner, took a trip to Target so they could each pick out a little Valentine's Day goodie, and read books on the couch. All in all a pretty good day...the only thing that would have made it better was if Jordan could have been home.
2. What is your favorite flower? Did your honey get them for you?
I love Gerbera Daisies...they're just so HAPPY! I love everything about them. They're just so bright and lively! They always seem to make me smile. And nope, he didn't. He knows I'm not a huge fan of getting flowers...especially on Valentine's Day. A single daisy on a random day means way more to me than a giant bouquet today. HOWEVER....I do love giving flowers.
3. Was Valentine's Day a big deal for you when you were a kid?
Nah, its never really been a big deal for me.
4. Did you put up any Valentine's Day decorations? (bonus points for a pic!)
I kept it light on the decorations this year. I just put out some cute cupcake candles, some fun Valentine's placemats, and a little table decorations. Easy peasy!
5. Do you have any Valentine's Day traditions?
I've never had any of my own, but now that we have kids we have started a few. Every year I give my kids a card (even though only 1 out of the 3 of them can actually read it!) and we make a special dinner together.

No real traditions here either. My mom always gets the boys something and we get chocolates, but this year we didn't.
ReplyDeleteYour evening sounds so lovely, minus the fact that The Hubs was not a part of it! A hot bubble bath sounds so comforting right now! I wish I could spend all day in a tub, conducting all my business from there. Maybe I should invent a waterproof laptop! (Eh, I'm sure someone already has.)
ReplyDeletenew follower =) I am the same way with flowers...I do like getting them, but nothing fancy. One time my husband went and picked a punch of wild flowers for me, and those are still my favorite out of all the flowers he's gotten me!! I do love to give them though!!
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute that you get them each a card and make a nice dinner together! I agree with the flower thing - I'd rather have a random single flower given to me as a surprise than on that typical day where everyone else is getting some flowers because it's expected!
ReplyDeleteI like easy peasy! But traditions are good something for the kids to remember throughout their lifetime! I'm hungry for some yummy food now!
ReplyDeleteI tried to continue something we had said would be tradition last year but it didn't work out this year. Schedule changes and such. Boy...Gerbera daisies sure do corner the market! LOL I don't usually care much for VDay, so it was never that big of a deal...until I had kids. Guess I'm going to have to get over that. LOL
ReplyDeleteeveryone seems to really love gerbera daisies...what is not to love right?
ReplyDeletei am slow getting to everyone. sorry about that, life keeps getting in the way of my blog jogging.
Good that you move on. Good luck on the new one.
