The Office Edition...WWTK!

GO GO GO! Life has not slowed down lately and even though I don't hold a typical 9-5 job, I work my booty off at home (can you hear my husband choking in disbelief?). There are some days between the kids going crazy, playing taxi from one activity to the next, kissing boo-boos, helping with homework, cooking dinner and attempting to do laundry that I just wish I had a "job"...just so I could get away from the insanity and relax for a little bit! 1. what is the worst job you have ever had?

Hmm...you know, I haven't had a job that I haven't enjoyed. There have been people I didn't like, but the jobs were always alright. If I have to pick (which I do, because I asked the question) I would say it was working at Sally's Beauty Supply when I was 18. Ughh.....that was the most boring job!! And the manager was a fartknocker.


2. have you ever been fired?


Nope! Let's be real, who would fire ME?...I'm pretty awesome. I've never been fired, but I have quit a job! Folded up my apron, handed over my key, told the manager off, and peaced the eff out. And just like that, my days as a Starbuck's employee were OVER. Man, that day felt good!

3. what would your dream job be?

 I have my dream job, full time SAHM! As hard as it can be, I feel truly fortunate to be able to be home with them everyday. But I would love ....L-O-V-E....to be a party planner. I love event planning and all that it entails....just wait til you see Presley's birthday party this weekend!


4. what did you want to be when you "grew up"?


I was a pretty ambitious second grader, I swore up and down that I was going to be a cardiologist. Yeah....so that didn't really pan out....pity.

5. how old were you when you got your first job?

16! My very first job was as a Starbucks barista. I thought I was sooooo cool. It was THE place to go back then....ahhh those were the good ol' days!

1. What is your favorite food item at Thanksgiving?

Umm...seeing as how I'm pretty much allergic to all of the food I'm going to have to say the SALAD! Boring.....but if I wasn't allergic then you can bet your sweet bottom that I'd be face first into a friggin vat of mashed potatoes and gravy! NOM NOM NOM!

2. What is your least favorite?

Anything having to do with sweet potatoes....vomit in my mouth. 

3. Do you have a favorite pie? (Share a recipe if you want or just tell us about it and make us drool)

Nope. I really don't like pie. The only exception is a chocolate mousse pie from Nation's. But of course....I'm allergic. Le sigh.

4. Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?

Sure do! They consist of going shooting at the range in the morning, watching football all afternoon, and preparing our Black Friday PLAN OF ATTACK!
 
5. Black Friday shopping? Do you participate in the delightful running through the stores in the wee hours or the morning madness or hibernate at home and shop online?


DO I SHOP??? Puh-lease. I throw it down like its nobody's business. I love the madness of it all. As much as I hate crowds and people....I love a good deal! Plus I can elbow people and clothesline a few kids and nobody will judge me for it! SCORE! The hard part is deciding which store to start at....Target, Kohl's, Toys R Us.....AHHHHH!!!!!

1. Do you have any musical talents?

I'd like to think so. I played a mean clarinet all through out junior high and a wee bit into high school. I also played violin for a long time, took a break, and just started up again.Now whether or not it sounds good, thats another story! I can also play the piano, but only by ear. As far as singing goes....I LOVE to sing...however that is one area in which I was definitely not blessed!


2. What role, if any, does music have in your life?

A pretty major one. If I'm not singing out loud, there's a song in my head. Major (and minor) events in my life all pretty much have their own 'theme song'. I match music to my moods, to my days, and to just about anything! A good soundtrack to life is essential!

3. What is your all time favorite song?



4. Do you sing in the shower?

Every single day! No, seriously, I do. I don't know what it is about my shower walls, but they make me sound AMAZING...just ask Jordan...bwahhaa!! I sound like an echoing cat in heat and I friggin LOVE it. And I'll keep singing no matter what anyone says!

5. Has a song ever made you cry?

Oh, totally. Music makes me COMPLETELY emotional...seriously if you want to make me cry just play a sad song...like this...you can't see me, but I'm crying already.

Let's get to it!


1. What is your "can't go without it" beauty product/cosmetic?

Here's the thing, if you look in my make-up bag ( I hesitate to even call it a bag), I only have 3 cosmetic items: eyeliner, mascara, and a spot concealer stick. Those are the ONLY things I use, and the spot concealer is only if a pesky blemish pops up. So if I had to choose out of the 3 I would say mascara!  Or my flat iron....I LOVE my flat iron!

2. Do you apply make-up before or after doing your hair?

After. Its the very last thing I do. And just as a side note, I CAN'T STAND the feeling of anything on my face. The thought of wearing concealer gives me a panic attack and don't even get me started on lip gloss...I can't even wear chapstick. Creeps me right out. It's au naturale for this girl. But don't worry, I shave my armpits.

3. How would you describe your personal style?

Umm...comfortable??  I guess I would describe it as hipster/edgy-ish? Basically skinny jeans, fun cardis, toms or chucks, and a lot of black, grey, and white with pops of color here and there. I love fun jewelry and having an awesome handbag is a MUST! Ok, all of that made no sense. Sorry, I tried! You'll just have to take my word for it that I dress awesome. HA!

4. How long goes it take you to get ready each day?

Depends on the day. If I have to straighten my hair (which I only straighten every 3 days) it takes me 2 hours. My hair alone takes me almost 2 hours to dry and straighten!! The joys of having thick curly hair! ARGH! If I don't have to straighten my hair then it takes me a half hour, shower included.

5. What is your one pamper, just for you, beauty splurge?

Honestly, I don't really have one. I don't dye my hair because I'm allergic to it. I haven't had a mani-pedi in over a year. I don't use expensive hair products. And I maybe spend $40 a year on make-up. Maybe.  I'm pretty low maintenance when it comes to my beauty regime!

Treats not tricks please! WWTK Q&A!

Can I start by saying that just LOOKING at candy makes me want to heave??? I am SO done with Halloween. Ugh. Well, I will be after this Q&A that is! How did you celebrate Halloween? Adult party? Trick or treating? Trunk or treat?

D, all of the above! Actually we had an AWESOME trunk or treat at church. Jordan and a few of his buddies even set up a wicked spooky alley out of some easy-ups and scared the shiznit out of a ton of kids. Gotta love it! And of course we had class parties (co-hosted by yours truly) and trick or treating with the kids. All in all it was a blast and the kids scored some crazy candy!

What candy is your favorite/the first thing you steal from the kids?

Anything sour! But lately with my allergies even candy has been upsetting my tummy. LAME!

What kind of candy do you give out, is it your favorite? Or something you know you won't be tempted to eat?

Jordan handles the candy distribution at the Casa de Cline. And seeing as how he LOVES candy, he only gives out the good stuff. He takes his candy duty seriously! He gives out ALL kinds of candy. Its a little intense.

How soon after Halloween do you take down decorations and put away decorations?


Ummm...about 5 minutes after. No seriously. They're already down. I can't handle leaving them up too long. I may be slightly neurotic about holiday decorations....just warning you now.

When do you decorate for the next holiday?


I did leave out a few fall decorations today, but you better bet your sweet booty that my Christmas tree will be up the day after Thanksgiving. It's tradition!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas and LOVE having my house decorated like a winter wonderland. LOVE IT! Did I mention that I love it??
