Now that he's 3, he's eligible for an awesome program with our school district that helps kids with disabilities/impediments/special needs get the extra help they need. Not only is he eligible, but he was accepted!! Whoop whoop!! For Boogie, that means he'll be getting some speech therapy as well as some help with his sensory issues to get him to where he needs to be. AMAZING!
For the past 9 months Levi has had his own personal speech therapist come to the house to work with him one on one. Mary Jane was an absolutely AMAZING woman who not only helped Levi go from BARELY SPEAKING to forming structured sentences and building up quite the vocabulary, but she loved him. She truly did. It broke my heart the last visit she made because I knew she wouldn't be back. Boogie adores her. He still asks for her!! But thanks to her he's now able to start this amazing program that is just going to help him blossom!
So now, twice a week, my little man is off to school. Backpack and all. It's legit. You hear that Little Miss Presley? It's just me and you
{Check out Boogie in his jammies and back pack! Presh!!!}So last night Boogie was STOKED about going to school, so I thought I'd share a little snippet with you...careful, he's pretty irresistible (right Banana?). His little voice is just too cute for words, hear for yourself...
{Boogie goes to school!! Watch out ladies :) }
If anyone needs me I'll be snuggling the Little Miss tight and waiting until 2:30 so I can pick my boys up from school. Man, I need a hobby...

What a stud!!! That's a great program you've got out there...my daughter attended something very similar due to her being preemie and all...she too had the speech issue. All good now though :)
ReplyDeleteLets hope your little man doesn't come home with digits in his backpack from the ladies.
Sooooooo cute! He'll be a sure fire hit with the lay-deees!
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww I'm in love with him!!! I swear that if he says that "hello ladies" in front of me.. I might face charges of kidnapping.. just sayin' LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteAlicia, Boogie is too cute for words. He is soooo lucky to have a Mama who watches out for him the way you do. I can tell that you're one of those amazing moms!
ReplyDeleteohhhh he is sooooo cute :) I wish you a good day
ReplyDeleteOhhhh what a CUTIE! He is for sure going to be a ladies man Alicia! You better watch out - you're going to have the ladies calling your house before you know it! HA! Thanks for the support on my weight loss journey - it means a lot! Have a great day lady! xoxoxo :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat a special day for him!! I know he's going to love it and just thrive there! :)
ReplyDeleteWe have sensory issues over here too. We LOVE our OT, couldn't do it without her. Enjoy your mornings and good luck to your little fella.
ReplyDeleteHis speech triumph is clear when he says "My backpack is right here"...most kids would have said "right here" or "here" I think. SO cute!
ReplyDeleteHey ladies!!! love him!!
ReplyDeleteVery cool. That's so great. I wish him the best of luck. He's going to be quite the ladies man. =)
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you prepared him well. I mean, as long as he knows how to talk to the ladies and he's got Spiderman on his backpack, that kid can do no wrong.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, his little voice is possibly the cutest little thing! I knew he was cute but oh boy, that little voice just throws him over the top. If you need someone to cry to...call me! :D
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOO!! Im going to crawl in a hole and cry myself to sleep when my baby leaves for school. Isn't there a magic pill that keeps them little forever???
ReplyDeleteAwww...I tell ya, I'm glad I"m homeschooling, because I could not HANDLE the whole sending-them-to-school thing. Uh uh, not me!
ReplyDeleteAlicia, he is A-DOR-A-BLE!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so scared of this very thing. Colin didn't go to preschool, but he'll be starting Kindergarten in the fall and I'm already losing sleep over it. I can't even put my finger on why, really ... it's just ... my baby is going out into the world alone ... *sniff sniff*
Good luck to Levi! :)

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get home so I can watch the video!!! I think I'll be pretty sad when Logan starts school but at least he's already in daycare every day so it won't be as big a transition as what you're doing right now! You poor mama! At least you still have one home full time.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww, he looks so excited! What a cutie!

What a blessing that your district offers services like this. I was a stutterer, and although I did speech therapy at school, my folks had to pay for it...
ReplyDeleteLook how cute he is! Have fun at Target!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck Boogie! You and Miss P will LOVE the girl time. It's so nice to shop with only 1 when you are used to juggling more than that!
