Snow White...

So this last week I had an extra little rugrat home with me since Mason decided he wanted to be sick and miss school. Oh joy! So I did what every mom does when they're kids are sick...popped on a movie and settled onto the couch for the day! Luckily for us, we had gotten an advance copy of the Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Diamond Edition...

To be honest, my kids had never seen it and I didn't think that the boys would sit through the whole thing, but I was totally wrong. It's actually a pleasant surprise because I happen to LOVE Snow White (which is why I wanted to do the review! lol) and I can't sing those songs like its nobody's business! Booya!! Mason actually really liked it and now he won't stop singing "Hi-ho, hi-ho..."...it cracks me up!

It was a blast sitting through one of my favorite movies and having the kids really enjoy it...I'm sure we'll be watching it a lot since they're a litte obsessed with it right now! It was even better because the last time I had watched it was on VHS and it really did look awesome on the DVD. This diamond edition package came with a DVD and Blu-ray disc, which was way rad since I had never used a Blu-ray before. Here's all the cool stuff it featured:

Highlights about Blu-ray discs and players:
  • Up to 6x better quality than DVD
  • 7.1 Surround Sound
  • Immersive activity with games and special features
  • Kid proof-more scratch resistant (hallelujah!)

  • Blu-ray also plays on Sony Playstation 3 players

  • “Heigh-Ho” Karaoke Sing-along

All in all we had a fun time watching the movie and the kids LOVED it...I'm so glad I got to do this review and share one of my favorite pastimes with the kiddos...Two thumbs up all the way around! Plus...Jordan and I could TOTALLY pass for Snow White and the Prince! HAAA!!

  6. The new Disney movies are cool and all... but I still love the old ones. I used to have EVERY Disney movie there was on DVD, until I sold them all on half.com to pay for books. Ugh... bad life decision.

  8. Thank you for making bloggie freebies perfectly clear. Learn something new every day. I want me some freebies NOW.

My 18 year old was a Snow White fanatic when she was just a wittle girl. We even talked about this over the weekend. That is crazy, huh? Christmas Present Idea!! Thanks!

  9. I have to say, Snow White was never my favorite. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think it's because I know I could take her.

Sleeping Beauty always seemed kind of crafty and conniving to me. Mulan is obvious. Arial has all that morphing ability. Jasmine wore pants, so we know what was going on there. Cinderella? Don't even get me started on that tart.

I hope the little one feeling better!

  10. You ARE TOTALLY Snow White! I love that movie too, as do my kids. We got our Blu Ray last Christmas, and even regular DVDs look betta on it!
Hey, you should show them The Wizard of Oz, that's another one that surprised my kids! They loved it!
