You're a grand ol' flag....

You're a high flying flag, and forever in peace may you waaaaave! You're the emblem of the land I love! The home of the free and the braaaaaave!

Do you guys remember singing that?? Holy second grade batman. I need a baton, sequins, and my jazz hands....I'm about to bust out my patriotic moves for you!

Being raised in a military family, and having family members still actively serving, I have a very special place in my heart for all of those who serve our country on our behalf. So as we have our BBQ's and enjoy our Memorial Day on Monday, lets keep them in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers!

To all the parents who have lost children, to the spouses who have lost their other halves, to the children who have lost their Mommy or Daddy....we remember them...and we thank them...and this weekend, we honor them!

  1. I am so greatful for those men and women who fight for me and my families freedoms and are willing to risk their lives so I don't have to. Oh how we take that for granted!! A stranger is willing to risk their life to protect mine. How humbling!

A veteran is someone who at one point in their life write a blank check made payable to the 'United States of America' for the amount of 'up to and including my life'

  3. This is beautiful Alicia. I have a patriotic heart for sure. I get so emotional singing patriotic songs, watching military marches, watching the flag being drawn, seeing flags flown at half mast, etc. I cry like a baby.

    Happy Weekend love!
