Bringing out the big guns...

It was date night at the Casa de Cline, so we did what any other loving couple would do.... packed up the guns and ammo and headed to the shooting range. Romantic, isn't it? Because nothing says 'I love you' like firing off a couple rounds. You can keep your candlelit dinners, I'll take the gun powder and lead any day!

I like to think of it as our version of couples therapy. If we both make it back alive, it's a sign that our marriage is still in good shape. Plus its always good to put a little fear in Jordan and let him know what I'm capable of, in case he ever gets any "ideas". And by "ideas" I mean "home-wrecking hussies". Forget divorce, I'm heading straight to the gun safe. But luckily for us we're MADLY in love....rawr...

We had a blast (haha! get it??..blast!) together and it was awesome to spend a little quality time with my hunka hunka burning love of a husband. We even finished off our date by renewing our NRA memberships and window shopping at Sportsman's Warehouse. Kidding folks. Kidding. And seeing as how we both made it home, it seems that we're doing something right. Hooray for guns! Oh, and date nights. But mainly guns!

Party in the USA...

I had high hopes for the 4th of July, and luckily for us it did not disappoint! The gang was all in tow for a killer bbq and the entire day was a total blast. Hours in the sun, way too much food, and tons of love for the Red, White, and Blue! And tons of love for the food...mmm....the food. Nothing says I'm American like shoving my face with all the chips I can handle!

In fact, we were so busy having fun that I kind of lagged on the picture taking. But here's a sneak peek at our awesome 4th of July...

WOO! but who's counting...) and I still take naps with the kids...don't be jealous of the fabulous life I lead. I might even drool a little. It's the life of luxury...

I love the 4th of July.

I love everything is represents. I love the patriotism. I love the sense of unity. I love the traditions. I love dressing my kids in adorable patriotic outfits (yeah, I'm that mom)....I LOVE IT! I can't wait to celebrate today!! Bust out the BBQ and bring on the fireworks, we're ready to rock!

I don't ask for much....except this,,,

I'm pretty low maintenance. I don't ask for much in life. (Do you hear that sound? It's the sound of my husband choking on disbelief right now. Shut it Jordan.)

I realize that with marriage and motherhood, few things are sacred. I don't remember the last time I used the bathroom without one of the kids all up in my space, or offering to wipe my butt. As far as food goes, forget it, as soon as my plate hits the table their grubby little paws are all over it. I don't even want to know where my tooth brush has been. And you know what, I'm OK with it! Seriously. I've come to terms with it.

BUT there is one thing...just ONE small thing that I refuse to share. In fact, I won't even remotely share. And that's my pillow....that's right, MY PILLOW. Don't friggin touch it. I will cut you. Limbs will be lost.

You see, I love my pillow. Its my little slice of heaven. It's the perfect balance of firmness and comfort. I've worked hard to shape and mold it to such ultimate perfection! Do I seem a little neurotic about my pillow? WELL I AM! And that means don't touch it, don't breathe on it, don't sweat on it, don't look at it, don't even THINK about it. If I even think my pillow has been touched, I have to change the pillowcase. No joke. A pillow...That's not too much to ask for, right??

So tell my why, as I type this, Little Miss Presley is snuggled up in her bed fast asleep on MY PILLOW!!!! The hooligan! The thief!! Is nothing sacred in this house?!?!

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Hurley, the latest addition to the Casa de Cline. Yup....because if life with 3 kids and 2 dogs wasn't hectic enough, lets add a friggin guinea pig to the mix! The more the merrier! Or is it misery loves company? Either way...

You see, here's what happened. We went to Petco for dog food and unbeknownst to me, it was pet adoption day! NO NO NO NO NO!! Anyone who knows me knows that I can't say no to any animal. I can't help it...I'm a SUCKER softie. I can't even watch that dang ASPCA commercial without crying. Dang Sarah Maclachlan and her heart wrenching voice!!

So there I was, surrounded by mewing kittens and playful pups...all giving me their cute eyes and sloppy puppy kisses...I was breaking. And fast!! 2 more minutes and I would have been coming home with a new dog. No joke.We were almost to the register, when we saw him. Hurley, staring at us with those bambi eyes from behind his cage, BEGGING us to take him home. How could I say no to this??

Obviously I couldn't say no.

Holy crapballs....seriously its been a MONTH since I've posted?!

The kids are killing my bloggy mojo! It has been non stop insanity since summer break started, and this girl needs a BREAK! And a Red Bull....or 5. But I have to admit, we've had a ton of fun! Or maybe I'm just so delusional from lack of sleep that I think I'm having fun....either or.
