Wednesday can suck it!

Today has definitely been one of 'those' days. I actually feel like yesterday never ended because the little miss was up ALL FLIPPIN NIGHT with the worst gas known to man. I have no clue what the freak she ate, let's just hope for the love of all things good that she NEVER eats it again. I mean, as much as I love having a Murder,She Wrote marathon with her until 2 in the morning I love sleeping in my warm bed and dreaming about funnel cake even more. Then there's the fact that Jordan woke me up telling me he had to go to the ER for his neck. Couldn't he have waited until after the sun came up to tell me? Ruuude. But several inflamed spinal discs, a couple bottles of muscle relaxers, and one shot on the BUTT later, he's good to go....BWAA!!! Sucks for him!! How a hurt neck leads to a shot on the butt, I have no clue, but that's AWESOME! HA! Oh, but I hope you're feeling better honey..really...*snicker*...I'll try to refrain from spanking you today.

Oh, then there's the fact that Mason was a half hour late to school. Yeah. Mother of the year right here folks. Don't all congratulate me at once. But it's ok that he's late. We already had the conference! And let me tell you it was a doozy....

For starters, I brought Jordan as back up. You know, in case she tried the intimidation factor on me, I'd just blind her with his beauty. It must have worked wonders because according to her, Mason is doing AWESOME! Hallelujah! Insert sigh of relief here. He's gone up 6 reading levels and is really thriving. Academically he is doing wonderfully. Heck yeah! That's because he's my mini-me...friggin smart cookie that's what he is!! THEN she goes on to tell me that he loves reading in class and that he'll often times go sit and read quietly during free time. Uhh...ok..now she must be confused. Surely not our child. Sit and read....quietly?? No, not him. THEN she tells me that the kids just love him and that he rarely has any peer conflicts. HA! No. Nope. Uh-uh. She's not talking about Mason, the kids that can't go 7 seconds without fighting with his brother or attacking the dogs. You would think that I'd be thrilled to hear about all that, but NO. In fact I was friggin miffed! The more she gushed about him the more I was thinking WTF?! Who is this child she speaks of and how come he's not MINE??!! That's it, the little terd has shown his true colors. His secret has been revealed!!

Well on the bright side it looks like I get to keep the Target gift certificate. Score.

***UPDATE: Congrats to Rita from Fighting Off Frumpy!!! She's the winner of our baby sling giveaway! Congrats Rita!! And a huge thank you to CSNbaby for giving us this awesome giveaway!!***

  2. Do you mean to tell me some nurse got to sick a needle in your hot man meat's butt??? The lucky bastard ;-) Dreaming of funnel cakes - LOL. I dream of the white fluffy stuff (I was going to type 'granulated' but that makes it sound even more like an illegal narcotic) - Congrats on Mason's stellar review. That had to have brightened your week!

  4. So many thoughts stuck in one post!

    Being up all night sucks!

Going to the ER also sucks! I hope you didn't have to take the kids.

Glad the conference went well even if it suprised you. Kids always seem to be on their best behavior when parents aren't around.

  5. haha, same thing happened at my coworkers parent teacher conference, turns out his kid is super organized at school but at home his room is a disaster. Kids are weird.

  7. Sorry it's been a hard day. Things are alright here. The boys have been good - except I wish Tristan could go one day without waking Isaac up. UGH. You don't know how badly I wish you lived closer...well, considering I don't know where you live...yeah LOL

  12. Oh man, my son's teacher talks about how WONDERFUL he is. And it's great and all, but then how come he comes home and acts like a psycho??!! Why? Is he bottling it up all day so he can spew it out when he gets home?? I guess.
Oh yeah, and don't feel bad about the kid bein' late to school. I forgot to give mine his antibiotics this morning before school. So whose fat butt was marching into the elementary this morning at 9:17 a.m. to have him called out of class so she could give him meds?? Raises hand.
That's right folks. Kid's been sick since the beginning of October and finally has some meds with a kick and mommy drops the ball. I'll accept my award in gold later. Thank you very much!

  15. You crack me up I tell you what! I almost woke up the sleeping baby next to me by laughing at your post today lol. I'm glad your little guy is doing so well in school. I'm unfortunate enough to have learned from my daughters teacher that she acts the SAME way at school as she does at home. I'll take your good at school pain at home any day.
