5 years....

I can't believe it's already been 5 years....and I haven't started drinking yet. I kid. I joke. Kind of.

I still have to pinch myself to make sure its not a dream, but lucky for me its not. He's real. Our love is real. And its stronger than ever. I'm so romantic....feel free to dry heave from all my lovesick mumbo jumbo.

I can't even begin to express what the last 5 years have been like with him at my side. Amazing doesn't even begin to cover it! So I'll try and express what I feel through this interpretive dance I recorded....HA! Yeah right.

You'll just have to take my word for it just how wonderful he is and just how perfect life has been since he's been here to share it with...

Well, I'd better go shave my legs now. He deserves that much after 5 years of marriage!!

I'm here...I'm alive...and I flippin' love you.

To say that the last 3 weeks have been consuming would be an understatement. They've been INSANE. I've wanted to badly to pop on here and write down what's been going on, but I just didn't know where to even start....so I'll try by starting here...

I've always been candid with the struggles our Boogie faces. We've had amazing doctors and therapists along the way and we've seen tremendous progress. He is a happy, loving, carefree little boy and everyone that meets him is just smitten with him. But...I knew there was something wrong. We've known for some time that he has sensory integration disorder as well as oral motor issues and developmental delays. We've been pro-active on getting him the help he needs. But...I just knew there was something more.

Call it a gut feeling, mother's intuition, a spiritual prompting...whatever...but I had it. Nagging at the back of my mind, unwilling to be stifled. I was beginning to feel like the crazy mom that takes their child to the doctor every time they fart the wrong way. I was afraid they would brush me off....but we took him back to the doctor anyway. I had to know if there was something more, something we were missing.

Observations were made, tests were done, and finally....finally....the answers are coming in. There was, or should I say IS, indeed something more. Something we were missing. We've yet to get back all of the lab results but we have a starting point. Some of the results we have gotten back so far have given us a lot of the information we were missing. Hopefully the rest of the results come back by next week. The pieces are starting to come together and I can finally breathe a sigh of relief.

The last 3 weeks have been filled with stress, tears, worry, and more stress. I am beyond ready to move on and move forward.

So now that life is settling down and we're able to get all of our chillins and babies the things they need, we can get back to basics around here!! So let me begin by saying

Normally, I'd be super excited about it, but these place mats are a little different. There's just something "off" about them.

I keep trying to tell myself that they're cute place mats and that no one else will notice, but every time I walk by my kitchen table all I see are BOOBS! Jugs and congo bongos everywhere! It's kinda creeping me out.

So thanks Mom for the, um, adorable place mats. You're the breast! I mean BEST!

My only Sunshine!

Sweet mother of Abraham Lincoln, can I just tell you how freakin' happy I am to look outside and see the SUN SHINING! Glorious!!

I was coming down with a bad case of the Winter blues, but this warm(er) weather has definitely been a pick me up today. I even went ahead and dusted off the ol' flip flops! My little tootsies can breathe again! And it looks like I'm not the only one who's had a little bit of cabin fever. The kids are DYING to play outside. Apparently trips to Target aren't 'fun' anymore....pffftt....So it looks like we'll be making some park trips this week.

But I have a confession...its kind of a big one. I'm not really a big fan of going to the park!! I'd rather stay home in the back yard and use the swing set for kids. Am I lazy or what? I know, mother of the year right here. But its true. I'm not crazy about chasing Little Miss Presley all over the play structure so she doesn't plunge 30 ft to the ground....I don't exactly love pushing Boogie in the swings until my arms are going to fall off. I'M HORRIBLE! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE to see my kids have fun....but...I know...Hey, I still take them, and at least I'm honest about it. I still think Target is way more fun though. Plus they have popcorn at Target....BONUS!

Nothing like the smell of diesel in the air...

The trucks were monsters, the engines were revving, and the Cline familia was PUMPED! It was time to take the boys to their first ever MONSTER JAM!! It's a rite of passage that all little boys must experience in life. Their time had come...the young grasshoppers must learn the ways of the diesel world.

We surprised them by taking them to the show Friday night and the boys were beyond excited. So we decked them out in some official monster jam gear and we were ready to go! All in all, it was an awesome night! The trucks were crazy-big, smashing all over the place, and flying through the air...so cool to see in person. They even had a giant robot dinosaur that ate cars and breathed fire....talk about BADARSE!

The only hard part of the night was seeing this....

{Sensory overload...breaks my heart to see him shut down.. :( }

The loud noises, bright lights, and crowd were a little overwhelming for Boogie. It hurt my heart to see his smile fade and his sensory take over. There were definitely parts of the night where he struggled to make it through and I could just see his anxiety radiating off of him. Luckily, we were able to put some of the therapy tools we've learned to good use, and were able to calm him down. And while he had a few rough spots, he did LOVE watching El Toro Loco and Megasaurus. AND he did have a blast with his big brother, which was super cute to watch.

Plus we got to end the night on a good note, by getting to meet and hang with all of the monster truck drivers!! The boys thought this was the coolest thing EVER and have proudly hung their autographed pennants in their room for all to see.

I have to say, it was pretty fun having a boy's night out!! As much as I missed Little Miss Presley, it was so fun to just bond with the boys. I can't wait to take them again next time!!

But I guess its only fair we even out the playing field and have a little girl's night with the Little Miss...looks like Disney on Ice is coming to town....WE'RE SO THERE!

This has been the longest week EVER!

UGHHHH.....

Between the kids being sick for what seems like the last month, and the average of 4 hours of sleep I've been getting, I'm beat. I'm tuckered out. I'm friggin POOPED! Thankfully its Friday and I can put my feet up tonight and just relax...BWAAAHHAA!! Yeah. Right. What is this word 'relax' that people speak of??

So instead of putting my feet up tonight, I'll be here...

Watching these beasts...

With these guys...



Because it makes them happy. And if they're happy, I'm happy.

Even if that means being tired and happy.
