I'm obsessed....

I'll admit, I obsess over little trivial things to the point where its all I can think about ALL DAY LONG. Wanna know what I've been obsessing about all day long?? What the heck we're going to carve our flippin pumpkins as! You remember those pumpkins, right? The ones we moved heaven and earth to pick out...the ones that took us not one, but TWO days of searching...the ones that had Mommy ready to start twitching while rocking back and forth in the corner singing Burt Bacharach to herself. I'm so glad we found the perfect pumpkins just we could gut and mutilate them...makes perfect sense. Moving on!! So I spent the evening searching for inspiration... searching for an image of THE ONE...

I present....

{the hamburglar's coming for this one!}

{who does this???}

{too much candy corn for this little fella}

{“Rule 17: Don’t turn your back on bears, men you have wronged or the dominant Turkey during mating season.”- Dwight}

Hmmm....so many options, so little time...To be honest I don't care what it looks like, as long as I can make a friggin pie out of it....

  13. The Mario Lopez one had me laughing so hard. That is wrong on soooo many levels.

    Stopping by via SITS. When I read your profile I had to stop in. American Idol is my guilty pleasure too. I took my daughter to the American Idol Tour in Tampa this summer. (She loves Adam!)

  17. Love these!!! I can't wait to carve pumpkins, and I always have grand ideas of what I want to do, then I just end up with the same old same old.

  23. LOVE the Dwight one though I think I would prefer a Jim Halpert pumpkin :)

    We still haven't bought any but hopefully will sometime next week. We need to make sure all the ghetto kids in our neighborhood have something to steal. LOL

  24. Greta! Now I am obsessed. As I read this I decided to do my own pumpkin this year and carve a Prince symbol into it O(+>

    I hope it comes out better than my Prince themed Gingerbread house I made last year for Christmas. I am not being sarcastic. I have pictures.

    Boy, do I know how to embarrass my teens or what!.

  25. Loves the Burger one!!! Hamburga Cheeseburga!

  26. The hamburger is amazing. That is by far my favorite. Save by the bell, mario, no thank you! LOL Come check out my blog, we didn't carve them we felted them. You can pretty much make anything out of felt. LOL It's great for little kids who can't use knives yet to have fun with their pumpkins too.

    ReplyDelete
  27. DWIGHT! DWIGHT! DWIGHT! do the dwight one. that one is siiiiiiiiiccckkk!!!

    i have no idea how people have the patience for this. i tried carving a bulldog face last year but those little plastic carving knives do little when it comes to details. i had to turn it around and make a dumb ass face. total fail.

  28. Oh my gosh, I totally need to show those to Jimmy.

    I must be a little slow, duh, because I sat there and stared at the hamburger one forEVER wondering why there was a hamburger picture among all the pumpkin pictures.

    Did the conference steal some of my brain cells???

  29. I like the AC Slater one but kids today would be like "who is that?" What about Elmo? Omg...did I just say that? wow...

    ReplyDelete
  30. I had to look at that hamburger a few times to realize it was a pumpkin!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yup, the pie is the most important part of pumpkin carving. Can't wait to see what you decide on!

    ReplyDelete
  32. it took me a minute to see how the hamburger was a pumpkin.

    i love dwight- It's a trick question. The bread is poisoned. Also it's not your real family. You've been cuckolded by a stronger, smarter male

  33. OK, I got an email from Yaya, first thing this morning, with a link to your blog and a picture of the Mario Lopez pumpkin. You may have noticed that Mario is my archnemesis.

    Well, 2 weeks ago, I was actually looking for Mario or The Hoff stencils and I couldn't find either! I should have searched for Slater. If I can find it, I will be carving this pumpkin, and then blowing it up.

    ReplyDelete
  34. You're setting the bar pretty high for yourself now!

    It would give me great pleasure to kick the head of the Mario pumpkin right in.

  35. Holy Cr*p! ARe you serious about those crazy looking pumpkins?!! South AFrica's not in with the whole Halloween thing just yet, we're far behind, so im a little frazzled by the obsession!

  37. I usually just let the little dude draw a face, then lamely cut it out. He's still small enough to not scrutinize my Ghetto job! I love to cook the pumpkin seeds.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Good grief. Y'all are creative. I usually just go traditional, and even then it ends up looking like a 4 year old took a spork to it after getting all hyped up on Pixie Stix.

    The A.C. Slater pumpkin is weird. You could always do Screech, though!

    ReplyDelete
  39. i love the cheeseburger pumpkin!! so creative.
    i saw that on someone else's page recently.
    i just want to dig the seeds out and bake them ;) i don't think i have the patience for carving a whole pumpkin and i know it wouldn't turn out perfect like i'd want it too. haha.

    have fun carving girly!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. OMG!! LOL the first one is so awesome!!! :) Carve away!!! :) hehe

    ReplyDelete
  41. Love the hamburger! I assure you the pumpkins in our house look nowhere near as fabuous as these. Good luck to you!

  42. I think you should do your dogs face on your pumpkins....or what your face looks like when you have an IBS flare up...whichever

    ReplyDelete
  43. Please tell me you're not REALLY going to make a pie out of stale, carved pumpkins? Buy an extra one! Better yet, buy the canned stuff. :P

    ReplyDelete
  44. Those are awesome! Although my favorite is one a blog friend told me about, it's an Edward pumpkin! I'm sooo making on of those!

  56. My husband loves the band U2, so we took two pumpkins and carved a U out of one and a 2 out of the other and put them together. It looked pretty cool. The Dwight pumpkin is awesome. "I'm faster than 80% of snakes."

  57. You and your frickin' Burt Bacharach are cracking me UP! Those are some crazy pumpkins. I'm partial to Dwight Shrute myself. He's such a hottie. Oh, and in answer to your question, Kaylee loves her purse! Carries it constantly.

  61. Too funny! My vote is for the vomiting pumpkin. I'm not a huge pumpkin carving fan, so I'm waiting for Lil Mootz to be old enough to want to do it before we start carving. In the meantime, my only pumpkin carving ends in delicious pies :)

  62. Those are great...I esp like the hamburger and Dwight! :)
