I'll admit, I obsess over little trivial things to the point where its all I can think about
ALL DAY LONG. Wanna know what I've been obsessing about all day long?? What the heck we're going to carve our flippin pumpkins as! You remember
those pumpkins, right? The ones we moved heaven and earth to pick out...the ones that took us not one, but
TWO days of searching...the ones that had Mommy ready to start twitching while rocking back and forth in the corner singing Burt Bacharach to herself. I'm so glad we found the perfect pumpkins just we could gut and mutilate them...makes perfect sense. Moving on!! So I spent the evening searching for inspiration... searching for an image of
THE ONE...
I present....

{the hamburglar's coming for
this one!}

{who does
this???}

{too much candy corn for this
little fella}

Rule 17: Don’t turn your back on bears, men you have wronged or the dominant Turkey during mating season.”-

Hmmm....so many options, so little time...To be honest I don't care what it looks like, as long as I can make a friggin pie out of it....
OMG hahahahahaha!! YEYEYEY NUMBER ONE! LOVE my insomnia buddy! Ok so not what I was expecting with the title, and you have me laughing out loud over here...the hamburger one?! What in the world??!!! I SUCK at pumpkin carving, mine always look so demented and evil, which is never my intention...I usually want them to look cute and pretty. I have issues.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, yummm pumpkin pie. I could eat an entire one right now, so come on over ladylove. YAY pms!
I love the hamburger one - too cool. Good luck with your carving.

ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see how yours turn out!!
I like the hamburger one!
ReplyDeleteThose are some awesome ideas!
ReplyDeleteLoving the hamburger....I thought it was a "real" hamburger!
ReplyDeletethose are hilarous! Last year I tried to do a scary cat and it lost a tail and a leg. sad.
ReplyDeletehahaha girl- I have a pumpkin post coming up too! I still can't get over that hamburger one!
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented at Pumpkin carving! How do you ever find the time? :}

I love the hamburger one and the sick pumpkin. Very clever.
ReplyDeleteThe Mario Lopez one had me laughing so hard. That is wrong on soooo many levels.
ReplyDeleteStopping by via SITS. When I read your profile I had to stop in. American Idol is my guilty pleasure too. I took my daughter to the American Idol Tour in Tampa this summer. (She loves Adam!)
lol who wouldn't love an A.C Slater pumpkin?
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, i'm soooo not talented. i think you are awesome if you can do any of those!! well, i think you are awesome to begin with, so that didn't make any sense. ha ha
ReplyDelete(it's been a long week.)
Bwah ha ha ha! That Dwight one is awesome! I haven't even bought one single pumpkin yet. LAME. I know. I'm going to be the worst Halloween party hostess evah.
ReplyDeleteLove these!!! I can't wait to carve pumpkins, and I always have grand ideas of what I want to do, then I just end up with the same old same old.
ReplyDeleteThe hamburger one looks so cool :)
ReplyDeleteLOL - I can't wait to see what you come up with! I'm still trying to decide on how we are carving our pumpkins this year as well. We'll see - I may just leave it to my son to carve them out this time around! :o)
ReplyDeleteI don't obsess about this one, the carving and making them look all fantastical is the hubs job!
ReplyDeletethis made my day. omg. i need that first one like now!
ReplyDeleteyeyeyeyey for pumpkin carving!!! okay so this gave me SO many good ideas for this weekend...um.that dwight one is nothing short of AMAZING!!! and the :) yeah i am thinking i may just have to represent for my ladays that way...
ReplyDeleteum....rocklin here i come?!?! hahahaha....seriously though...
LOVE the Dwight one though I think I would prefer a Jim Halpert pumpkin :)
ReplyDeleteWe still haven't bought any but hopefully will sometime next week. We need to make sure all the ghetto kids in our neighborhood have something to steal. LOL
Greta! Now I am obsessed. As I read this I decided to do my own pumpkin this year and carve a Prince symbol into it O(+>
ReplyDeleteI hope it comes out better than my Prince themed Gingerbread house I made last year for Christmas. I am not being sarcastic. I have pictures.
Boy, do I know how to embarrass my teens or what!.
Loves the Burger one!!! Hamburga Cheeseburga!
ReplyDeleteThe hamburger is amazing. That is by far my favorite. Save by the bell, mario, no thank you! LOL Come check out my blog, we didn't carve them we felted them. You can pretty much make anything out of felt. LOL It's great for little kids who can't use knives yet to have fun with their pumpkins too.
ReplyDeleteDWIGHT! DWIGHT! DWIGHT! do the dwight one. that one is siiiiiiiiiccckkk!!!
ReplyDeletei have no idea how people have the patience for this. i tried carving a bulldog face last year but those little plastic carving knives do little when it comes to details. i had to turn it around and make a dumb ass face. total fail.
Oh my gosh, I totally need to show those to Jimmy.
ReplyDeleteI must be a little slow, duh, because I sat there and stared at the hamburger one forEVER wondering why there was a hamburger picture among all the pumpkin pictures.
Did the conference steal some of my brain cells???
I like the AC Slater one but kids today would be like "who is that?" What about Elmo? Omg...did I just say that? wow...
ReplyDeleteI had to look at that hamburger a few times to realize it was a pumpkin!!
ReplyDeleteYup, the pie is the most important part of pumpkin carving. Can't wait to see what you decide on!
ReplyDeleteit took me a minute to see how the hamburger was a pumpkin.
ReplyDeletei love dwight- It's a trick question. The bread is poisoned. Also it's not your real family. You've been cuckolded by a stronger, smarter male
OK, I got an email from Yaya, first thing this morning, with a link to your blog and a picture of the Mario Lopez pumpkin. You may have noticed that Mario is my archnemesis.
ReplyDeleteWell, 2 weeks ago, I was actually looking for Mario or The Hoff stencils and I couldn't find either! I should have searched for Slater. If I can find it, I will be carving this pumpkin, and then blowing it up.
You're setting the bar pretty high for yourself now!
ReplyDeleteIt would give me great pleasure to kick the head of the Mario pumpkin right in.
Holy Cr*p! ARe you serious about those crazy looking pumpkins?!! South AFrica's not in with the whole Halloween thing just yet, we're far behind, so im a little frazzled by the obsession!
ReplyDeleteGood LUck with those pumpkins though!!!

okay the ac slater one...crack me up....
ReplyDeleteI usually just let the little dude draw a face, then lamely cut it out. He's still small enough to not scrutinize my Ghetto job! I love to cook the pumpkin seeds.
ReplyDeleteGood grief. Y'all are creative. I usually just go traditional, and even then it ends up looking like a 4 year old took a spork to it after getting all hyped up on Pixie Stix.
ReplyDeleteThe A.C. Slater pumpkin is weird. You could always do Screech, though!
i love the cheeseburger pumpkin!! so creative.
ReplyDeletei saw that on someone else's page recently.
i just want to dig the seeds out and bake them ;) i don't think i have the patience for carving a whole pumpkin and i know it wouldn't turn out perfect like i'd want it too. haha.
have fun carving girly!!
OMG!! LOL the first one is so awesome!!! :) Carve away!!! :) hehe
ReplyDeleteLove the hamburger! I assure you the pumpkins in our house look nowhere near as fabuous as these. Good luck to you!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm.....pie.
ReplyDeleteI think you should do your dogs face on your pumpkins....or what your face looks like when you have an IBS flare up...whichever
ReplyDeletePlease tell me you're not REALLY going to make a pie out of stale, carved pumpkins? Buy an extra one! Better yet, buy the canned stuff. :P
ReplyDeleteThose are awesome! Although my favorite is one a blog friend told me about, it's an Edward pumpkin! I'm sooo making on of those!
ReplyDeletelove that first one... but all of them are so creative!!
ReplyDeletethese are fabulous! the smiley faced one is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteOK it took me a min to navigate through your 500 comments....
ReplyDeleteThe hamburger the so friggin cool!
Are you really going to make a pie?
Dude, I think there's something seriously wrong with me. That first one looked really yummy. :(
ReplyDeletehaha I personally love the giant burger!
ReplyDeleteI obsess over pie...just not the pumpkin that the pie is from. :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I have always been a fan of the puking pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteUgh. Now you've got me obsessing! We haven't even GOTTEN our pumpkins yet! There is NO TIME. Ugh. I need to get my costume, too. Ugh.
Now look what you've done to me. Ha, or look what I've gone and done with your innocent funny post . . .
We haven't carved up ours either but I am so going to go get another one just to make that hamburger!!! That's awesome!!!
ReplyDeletethat hamburger one cracks me up. : )
ReplyDeleteI love the Dwight one!!! They're all awesome.
ReplyDeleteI gave you an award! It's here! If you don't accept awards, this message will self-destruct in 3 seconds. Please disregard.
LOVE the barfing pumpkin! Say it with me "bbbarrrfffiinnng pumpkin" Just makes ya giggle doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI love the emoticon one!
ReplyDeleteMy husband loves the band U2, so we took two pumpkins and carved a U out of one and a 2 out of the other and put them together. It looked pretty cool. The Dwight pumpkin is awesome. "I'm faster than 80% of snakes."
ReplyDeleteThe Schrutes make very thirsty babies.
ReplyDeleteYou and your frickin' Burt Bacharach are cracking me UP! Those are some crazy pumpkins. I'm partial to Dwight Shrute myself. He's such a hottie. Oh, and in answer to your question, Kaylee loves her purse! Carries it constantly.
ReplyDeleteMy fave is the hot chick silhouette from the trucker tire flaps! You seen that? Totally WT!
ReplyDeleteKind of like the "sideways smile". Cute! Great images. Stopping by from SITS.
ReplyDeletepk @ Room Remix
I love the hamburger and the Dwight one.. they're just hardcore:P * I've never said that before... this is lame:P *
ReplyDeleteanyway.. Happy Thursday!
p.s: I'm having my first giveaway! if you're interested, just stop by :)
Too funny! My vote is for the vomiting pumpkin. I'm not a huge pumpkin carving fan, so I'm waiting for Lil Mootz to be old enough to want to do it before we start carving. In the meantime, my only pumpkin carving ends in delicious pies :)
ReplyDeleteThose are great...I esp like the hamburger and Dwight! :)
ReplyDeleteThat hamburger one totally rocks! I would soo eat that
ReplyDeletethat vomiting pumpkin is classic!!!
