Rest, relaxation, and more rest.....

Ahhhhh.....

18 hours. I slept 18 hours in two days. I wish you could see the tears of happiness streaming down my face right now. That's like a week's worth of sleep for me. This last weekend, The Hubs and I sneaked off to Tahoe for a weekend getaway. And by "sneaked off" I mean, threw a ticker tape parade, shouted from the roof tops, partied like its 1999, peaced out, got the heck out of dodge!

Despite some intense babysitting issues, we were able to get to Tahoe and enjoy life again take a breather. We had the most amazing suite and were rolling straight baller status. The room was decked out with everything from an office to a pool table. It was bigger than my house...no joke. And the best part? I didn't have to clean a dang thing! We had a blast eating, sleeping, shopping, sleeping, meeting up with the adorable Stephanie and family, sleeping, and just hanging out. See for yourself....

I miss you Tahoe...we'll meet again! But for now its back to reality (did anyone else sing 'back to life, back to reality' just now? I did...thank you Soul II Soul). I already need a nap.

The first day of school was a success for everyone! Boogie managed to keep his pants up at school and Mason's teacher didn't cry. All in all, I call that a raging success!

I don't care what anyone says, I LOVE public school. If you need me I'll be jumping on the couch...or FINALLY blogging...or at Target...or pooping in peace. Boo to the ya! GLORIOUS!

Whoa whoa whoa Miss Lippy...

Ahhh...the sweet smell of glue is in the air! And that can only mean one thing, SCHOOL IS ABOUT TO START! Do you hear the angels singing?! Holy longest friggin summer of my LIFE! I remember loving summer as a kid, but man, it straight sucks now. If I hear the phrase "I'm bored" one more time I'm going to stab myself in the eye. I'm just being honest. I think I need to develop some form of addiction so I can go to rehab and get a vacation. Crack sounds good.

Don't get me wrong, we've had some fun times this summer, going on family trips, hangin' with la familia, hittin' up the pool, bbq's galore...it was legit. But I'm looking forward to getting back to blogging, peeing in peace, taking a shower and shaving both legs, sanity a routine. It's back to school, soccer practice, homework and all the insanity in between and I am SO excited!

So this weekend we're going to have one last hoorah and then its back to school for the kids and its off to VACATION next weekend for this girl! You know dang right! I love my little ones, but after 2 and a half months of waking up to their screaming faces I could use a little R & R. South Lake Tahoe here we come....glorious!

But this weekend is a little bittersweet, my baby brother is heading off to the University of Arizona, and its going to be strange not seeing his goofy face around. I can't even think about it without crying....tear....

Frenchie, food, and fun!

I've been trying to roll my bloated arse out of bed so I could show you these pictures for the last few days, but I'm still recovering from my food hang over. Seriously what is it about having family in town that just makes you stuff your face like you're never going to have a warm meal again?? Ughh. Moving on, last week was an absolute blast! Way too much fun, way too many laughs, and way too much food! I'm still popping IBS pills like they're going out of style. Anymudbutt, remember how I told you Frenchie was bringing a mystery guest?? Well here he is!!

Yup! Frenchie and J met through yours truly (Cupid can suck it!!) and they came up for a little vacation. She flew in to LAX, picked up my big bro and road tripped it up north. We laughed, we cried, we farted (like I said, there was TONS of food) and we loved every second of it. Here's a little peek into our week...

As always, it was good times with Frenchie and the familia. It was hard to see her go, but we're already planning our next trip. That's right, Queso and Frenchie are hittin' up the east coast in 2011!

I'm so excited! And I just can't hide it!! Picture me dancing like Jessie Spano a la Saved By The Bell. Please tell me you remember that episode...amazing! So why am I so excited? I'll tell you why...better yet, I'll SHOW you why...

My favorite foreign bestie is visiting me today!!!

That's right! She hopped the pond and she's on Cali soil now. Word. Who would have thought that a blogging buddy living in London would become one of my BFF's?! Loves it. The best part is, she's bringing up a surprise visitor with her...its too good a secret to tell you, so you'll just have to wait for pictures so I can SHOW you!

I'm off to go do a happy dance and put some Red Bull on ice!

Boogie oogie oogie...

There's nothing better than a little entertainment with a good meal. And thanks to my faaaabulous offspring, every one at Joe's Crab Shack got a live show with their lunch!

There we were...in the middle of a nice meal...when all of a sudden the music starts blaring over the speakers. Boom boom chicka chicka wahhhh boom boom! The next thing I know, Boogie's tossed his fish n' chips on the ground and he starts convulsing....in rhythm...almost like he's dancing. First the shoulders...then the feet...then the jazz hands came out and I knew it was on like donkey kong!

There he was, in the middle of the restaurant, straight busting a move like his daddy he was on Soul Train, when out of the corner of my eye I see a little purple blur dropping it like its hot! Her milkshake was bringing the toddlers to the yard! Of course that little purple booger was non other that Little Miss Presley Rose with moves like *cough*cough*her mama*cough*cough* Shakira! And to my complete surprise Mason sat in his chair the ENTIRE time. Apparently now that he's in 2nd grade its not "cool" to dance in public, or so I'm told.

So I did what any good mother would do, sat back and let them boogie oogie oogie til they just couldn't boogie no more! And lucky for you guys I had my camera. The pictures not the best but you can still see them in all of their extreme cuteness!
